Whoops, Sorry I'm Late

Hello Bloggers
and a big sorry from me
I've been having problems with my laptop and couldn't get onto my blog to do my post for the Lemon Shortbread Challenge #12 but thankfully I've been reunited with a fully working laptop and can share my make with you now

I used 'Star Girl' and decided to use her for an altered notebook I was making. The notebook was only 4"x3" so I had to make her quite small to fit. I coloured her with ProMarkers and added clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to her stars. I covered the notebook with papers that I distressed with mini ink pads and added ruffled ribbon to the spine edge before finishing with some flat back star embellishments

You can find her and all of the other great Lemon Shortbread digi images in the Etsy shop here and don't forget to enter the challenge and you could win some images

Sweet Roses

Hi Bloggers

Brrrrrr its so cold at the minute, where's the lovely Spring weather? I can't wait for the plants and flowers to start sprouting and growing in my garden again, I love flowers and decided to use a very floral image for my DT make at Lemon Shortbread this time

Isn't she just so pretty
She is called 'Rose Wavy Hair' and is available here. I coloured her with ProMarkers, colours listed below, and once she was finished I knew she would be perfect for another Pocket Letter swap where the theme is 'Shabby Chic with Pink'

I made some paper and lace flowers, ribbon pull bows, a decorated pin and scrunched up netting to decorate along with air dry clay bird & cherub, die cut butterflies, teeny rolled roses and pearl trim
I hope my partner loves it as much as I loved making it, and yes it was scary to chop her up after I coloured her

I hope you will join our challenge this time where you could win some fabulous Lemon Shortbread digi stamps

Hello Bloggers
I cant believe we are at Challenge #10 already here at Lemon Shortbread, time is whizzing by

I knew as soon as I saw this digi that I had to make a Mothers Day card for my mum using it, and as its Mothers Day on Sunday here is the UK I don't have long to wait to see if she likes it. She loves gardening and and last summer we did a lot of gardening together working on the front garden of my new bungalow, this year we hope to remodel the back garden

Isn't she so sweet
She is called Gardening Girl and I coloured her with ProMarkers (colours listed below) and all my papers & the frame embellishments are from the Papermania Bellissima collection. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the flowers & lace are from my stash

I hope you will come along and join our challenge, which as always is
Anything Goes
and if you use a Lemon Shortbread image you can win 4 images of your choice. Take a look at all the wonderful images Vera draws here

Sweet Valentine

Hello Bloggers

It's the start of Challenge #9 at Lemon Shortbread and I am sharing something different with you today that's had me hooked since September last year

Pocket Letters!
I just love these things. Little pieces of art, the same size as ATC's or trading cards, displayed in plastic envelopes. I joined a pocket letter swap group and we make them on themes and add little crafting goodies to the back of the pockets, along with a note and a teabag/coffee sachet/hot choc sachet. It is just a great way of making new friends, sharing your artwork and swapping goodies :)

So onto my make this week
I used the super Heart Sunglasses Girl, coloured with ProMarkers and fussy cut her out before sticking her to the front of the plastic wallet. The ATC's I kept quite simple and stuck mainly to the red & black theme using die cuts & a doily I coloured black, washi tape, ribbon and some flatback gems & pearls

I added a February calendar tab to the front of the plastic wallet and coloured a metal double heart embellishment sticking it over the 14th. I love that this image is 'grown up' and can be used for many occasions

As you can see you don't have to just stick to cards when using digi image and can enter our 'Anything Goes' challenges with any type of crafting that uses a digi. If you enter using a Lemon Shortbread image and you win, you get an extra image. So come along and join our challenge, and also join our Facebook group for all the latest news and new releases

For You

Hi Bloggers

Today is the start of Challenge #8 at Lemon Shortbread, I can't believe its number 8 already

I used the gorgeous
for my card this week

I love this image. I had the perfect embellishments to match the image, a long (over 1m) strip of felt toadstools/mushrooms that I brought months ago for £1 from Lidl. I coloured her with ProMarkers, colours listed below, and added liquid pearls to the bell on her hat. I kept the layers quite simple with plain red & white card along with swirly green paper and Doodlebug glittered paper from my stash. Other than the small flat backed pearls and the simple sentiment I didn't feel the need to add anything else and I'm really happy with how my card turned out
I hope you will come along and join our challenge this time, as always we have an 'Anything Goes' theme with the chance to win up to 4 Lemon Shortbread images
Don't forget to join out Facebook group where you can keep up to date with the latest news and releases, and share your makes

Back to The 80's

Hi Bloggers
Brrrrrrrrrr its cold here in England at the moment, some places have even had snow not that I have been so lucky :( I love snow & love to see my furbabies playing around in it chasing snowballs

So onto my make today
It's the start of the Lemon Shortbread Challenge #7 and I decided to use the fab image called

On TV over the Christmas holiday there was a few programmes with remembering the things in the 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's and I loved the 80's one as that's when I remembered most things from growing up. It was so fun looking at the terrible fashions we all thought were terrific then :)
I coloured my 80's Girl with ProMarkers (colours listed below) and a sliver glitter Sakura for her buttons. The papers are all from my stash, the star flourish is the Sue Wilson Star Spray die and the sentiment stamp is by Stamps Away

I hope you like my card and that you will come along and join in our challenge this time. If you use a Lemon Shortbread digi you can win 4 images or 3 if you don't, and its always an Anything Goes challenge. Check out the Lemon Shortbread Etsy shop for all Vera's fabulous digi images, and why not join our FaceBook group to find out all the latest news and new releases

Happy Birthday Son

Hello Bloggers

I can't quite believe it but my son is going to be 20 on the 15th Jan and before you ask no it doesn't make me feel old, well not any older than I feel most days :)
So I thought I would share the card I have made for him

This is so my boy and it's been so hard for him this past 2 wks as his xbox had to be sent away for repair and he has been getting withdrawals :)
I coloured the image using ProMarkers, the papers were from my stash and I added flat back pearls, a button & twine and some of my new letter tiles attached with mini brads
We are going to be having typical young lad food for dinner, pizza's & garlic bread and I haven't decided what cake to make yet but something yummy and probably chocolate

I hope you like my card
