2 cute

The challenge at Passion For Promarkers this week is to use 2 of things, as its their 2nd anniversary.
So heres my card

I used 2 stamps, the cute little princess and the circle sentiment. The princess was coloured with 2 colours, browns & pinks. I chose 2 printed backing papers, the pink rose paper to cover my card and the pink gingham which i cut with a nellie snellen die. I also used 2 palin backing papers, the brown which i cut using a bigger nellie and matted the gingham paper and princess onto, and the pink pearlescent paper that the circle sentiment is printed onto. I also cut 2 smaller scalloped nellie circles in brown and pink pearlescent to back the sentiment circle onto. The 2 embellies i chose were pale pink card candi and pink gems, and then i used 2 different ribbons, one sheer pink and a thinner satin pink, and attatched these under the sentiment. I also went as far as to only use 2 types of sticky stuff, dst and foam pads  :D

I love the way its turned out, and really like the pink & brown combo

Hip hop Happy Birthday

My blogger is still not playing properly, i cant leave comments and yesterday it wouldn't let me do this post (fingers crossed it does now).
So as I've not been blogging as much i decided i would make some cards for my stash box, and as i am short on the dreaded male cards, i decided to tackle them.

I used a candle embossing folder on dark blue card stock for the background, the digi is Jack & The Big Present from The Clipart Fairy is coloured with pro markers. I have a bag of teeny bits of ribbon that are not big enough to make bows with, and i used a dark red and lime green bits, folded them i half at an angle and stuck them under a cool bottle cap in the corner.
I quite like this card, and think its perfect for a teenage boy.

Birthday Bear

Hi guys, hope you are all keeping well. Im super excited :D Ok now i wasnt excited at all about our new TKMaxx store opening tomorrow, until someone on the DC forum said they brought some super-de-super scrapbooking kits from their branch for just £1 & £2!!! now i cant wait and i am going into town especially to see if my new store had any bargains, it better do i dont really like going into town so twice in 1 week is really pushing it.

Anyway onto my card, isnt this bear so cute

He is the progressive challenge freebie digi for this week at Delightful Inspirations . I coloured him with pro markers and then cut round a template i have made for the nice frame shape. I decided he should be looking up at something, so printed off a teeny flutterby for cutie bear to gaze at, also coloured with pro markers. The backing paper was for a pack i got from Pondskipper Crafts and i think the maker is The English Paper Company, but as i have lost the packaging i cant double check. The sentiment, i made using first a Happy Birthday 99p stamp from Hobbycraft and then i used my tiny £shop alphabet stamps to do the other words, again cutting round a template for the shaped frame.
I have a pot of metal charms that just seems to keep getting bigger and bigger as i alsways seem to forget to use them on my cards, but this time i remembered and attatched a cute little silver metal flutterby with thin peach ribbon, and made a matching bow for the top of the sentiment frame. Woops i almost forgot to mention i used part of a little doiley under the sentiment too :D

Its Time For Another Stamp'N'Doodle Challenge

Hello fellow bloggers, i do hope you are all well.
Over at Stamp'N'Doodle we have another challenge, this week is a recipe and the recipe is to use PINK, PURPLE, PEARLS & PAPER PIECING. Us DT members were given the fab 'New Mother' image to play with and this is my card

I started off by printing the image twice, once onto white card and once onto a pink spotty paper i had in my stash, then decided what to paper piece. as the spotty paper is quite bright i thought i would paper piece the little girls outfir, including her shoes. i think she looks fab in her spotty hat, coat and shoes. I coloured the rest of the image with pro markers and cut it out in a fancy scalloped circle with my Nellie Snellen dies and cuttlebug. i also cut a scalloped oval from purple card and used this at the back of the circle.
I wrapped a piece of spotty purple ribbon round a square of bright pink cardstock and stuck this on the opposite side of the card, and finished off with flat backed pearls in the corners.

Blue Butterfly

Arnt butterflies just so gorgeous, i think they are, and i brought a pot full of little paper butterflies a few weeks ago and hadn't used any yet, it was another of my crafty sale bargains.
So when the ladies at LIM decided it would be a butterfly week this week i thought it was the perfect chance to use a few.

I started off by stamping the sentiment square which was a freebie stamp from the DoCrafts mag a couple of issues back, cut this out (very fiddly) and coloured part of it pale blue with pro markers. Next up it was time to pick my butterflies as the pot i have has lots in different sizes and shades, they have all been like tie died so can be very different from one another. after i found 3 thats were similar and after playing about deciding on how to place everything on my card, i embossed a square 1cm in from the edge, just for a bit more detail, and then stuck my sentiment and butterflies on with quite think foam pads.
Now its finished im not sure wether i like it or not, its one for the box anyway.

Another CAS Card

Just a quickie post from me tonight with another CAS card

I used a gorgeous embossing folder given to me by a fellow Dc'er, and then heat embossed the flames with gold powder, and simply stamped the greeting with red ink.

Little Skater Dude

Hi folks and happy halfway-through-the-week to you all. Its been a funny day here today, what with one thing meant to be happening and then getting put off and something else happening, then the original thing happening too, as well as weird weather, hot but cloudy and grey.
Anyway onto my card for today

The cute dude digi is from Designed2Delight, and you can find him here , coloured with pro markers. Orange card behind the image is embossed with swiss dots embossing folder. a selection of papers from my stash cut into strips and stuck down with dst. The sentiment is from a SeeD's alphabet set, sorry i cant remember the name, mounted onto the same orange card as before, and stuck on with foam pads. i decided to add a bit of different detail to the ribbon by tying knots in each end, just think its something a bit different for a chance.

Its A Sketch Challenge At Stamp-N-Doodle This Week

Hi everyone, i hope you all had a great weekend.
Well as its monday its a new challenge at Stamp'N'Doodle, and this weeks challenge is a sketch, you can find it here .

I coloured the image with pro markers and cut it out with my scalloped oval nellie die, then inked the scalloped edge in purple. The flowers i made quite simply by cutting 2 different sized circles from a textured tissue paper, scrunched them up and opened out again, stuck the smaller circle inside the larger one and stuck to the card. i decorated them with touches of the glitter glue i used for the swirls on the card.

Pail Of Flowers

Stamp'N'Doodle Challenge

Happy Monday to you all, its lovely and sunny here and im ready for a crafting day :D.

Today we have a new challenge starting at Stamp'N'Doodle and this week it is

So you have to make a Thankyou card, heres mine

I coloured the 'Mother' digi with pro markers, and added 1 black & 2 white feathers and a silver button to her hat. I thought it would be nice to make an easel card with her as i wanted her to really stand out. i embossed some blue linen card and made sure that the patterns matched up along the join when the card was standing.
the sentiment is a peel off coloured black with a permanent marker and stuck onto blue linen and plain white card with the same buttons as i used on the hat.

All White Take 2

Well compared to my last card, this one is very plain, but i like it.

I used a slightly smaller square card blank for this one. The flower is made using 2 Craftwork Cards flowers, one on top of the other, and slightly curling their petals round a pen or embossing tool. I added a button for the flower centre and embossed a line of buttons with a cuttlebug embossing strip.
Very plain and simple, but i like it.

All White

EEEKKKKKKKK was my 1st thought when i saw the challenge at Less Is More this week, its 'White On White' how was i meant to make a card in just plain white?????

Well i did it, not just once either, very happy me. Here's my 1st attempt

I started off with a square card blank and cut a square of white textured card 2cm smaller than the card blank. i then cut a square 2cm smaller than this square, from a white glossy card and embossed it with the freebie dots embossing folder from this months Creativity mag.
I spent ages going through my flowers deciding on which one to use and which were actually white and not an off white or creamy colour. Once i had decided i had a play with where to put them and decided they looked best in a top corner, but that left the middle a big blank space, so i used a tag from my stash and a small strand of crinkled white satin thread to attatch it under the flowers. The sentiment i did with a glue pen and white glitter, and added pearls for the flower centres.
Not a bad job i dont think.

Pink 'n' Sparkley

3 posts in one day, yes I'm bored again :D

The gorgeously (not even sure if that's a word, but if not it should be) sweet digi is from Delightful Inspirations and i coloured her with pro markers and pale pink gliier for her wings. I cut round a scalloped oblong template i have just to make it a bit different. The backing paper is a freebie one i downloaded.
i then used my fave border punch with swirls on a pearly pink paper and used a strip across the card, then i added a thinner strip of darker pink card which has little pokla dots on (you cant see them very clearly in this photo). I used some of the paper left from the punched border to decorate the scalloped edges of the white card.

Boys Will Be Boys

Why is it that boys like making a mess and all things messy???? While my son was on holiday we sorted his room out and made it all nice and clean & tidy, and it now looks like a bombs hit it!! Also my cousin let her little boy have some jelly yesterday, had to nip out of the room to answer the door and came back to a living room decorated in jelly!! AND her living room is white & black with  white carpet and walls. the last time little Aston tried to redecorate he lovingly rubbed a pot of sudocream into the black leather sofa.
Boys, ain't they just adorable!!!

Anyway onto my card, and i cant say this little lad is yukky, as i love frogs too

The image is a Pink Gm stamp, and coloured with pro markers. I used 2 of the backing papers from the PaperMania For Him Colossol Paper Pack, a little pice of dark orange ribbon and a big button and twine from my stash. The greeting is peel-off copper coloured letters.

Something Other Than A Card

I made this cute bookmark for my daughter, she made me a cross stitch one for Christmas, and she loves the Meljens designs almost as much as i do, so i gave this one to her.

The whole thing is coloured with pro markers, with a little bit of glitter glue added for sparkle and the sentiment was done with my trusty £shop alphabet stamps.

RAAWWWW Its a Dinosaur!!!!!!!

But he doesn't exactly look scary does he

He is a Dustin Pike digi coloured with pro markers and gold & silver gel pens. The backing paper is some from my stash ans i used thick foam pads to mount the dino and pressies digi. I didn't think this needed a sentiment as its printed all over the backing paper, but i wanted to use something down the side, so found the fun parcel, hat and candle buttons in my stash.
A really jolly card i think.
