Whoops!! A Little Late

Whoopsie I am a little late with my post today, I forgot to schedule it last night, so very sorry but its here now, or at least it will be when I've finished typing it.

The challenge at Charisma Cardz this week is

THINGS WITH WINGS

and we have 2 fab sponsors

the prize of 4 single stamps or 1 stamp set

AND

$10 voucher to spend in their online store

So here is my make

All pretty and summery even though the weather here at the moment is anything but summery, one day nice one day rain, wish it would just decide on one and stick to it :)
Anyway I used 2 of my fab new punches that I chose with my £100 winnings to spend on tonic items, I'm not much of a butterfly person but just had to get the butterfly punch and the butterfly border punch as they are so cute. I used a light green pearlescent paper for the border strip and the bottom layer of the butterflies, and then used a glitter card in the same colour green for the top layer of the butterflies and finished off with teeny weeny pink flat back pearls.
The gorgeous image, which is from stamp fairy, was coloured with pro markers and I added glossy accents to the love hearts and his nose. I believe the backing paper was from a paper stack free with a magazine a while back, but don't quote me on it lol

Well that's it from me today, again sorry my post was a little late, and I hope you will pop over to the main blog and check out my fellow DT girls work.

1st GDT For HERE COME THE BOYS

Yep you read it right, I was asked a few weeks ago if I would like to be a Guest Design Team member at

Here Come The Boys

and I jumped at the chance. I don't make many male cards and really enjoyed the challenge of making my GDT cards.

This weeks challenge is a

RECIPE

3 Papers
2 Brads or Buttons
1 Image

Here is what I came up with

I have quite a few fishing enthusiasts in my family so this will come in handy. For the 3 papers I used a plain pearlescent blue as the base paper, I embossed a more turquoise blue thin card for the 2nd layer and then used a scrap of patterned paper that I found lurking in my paper oddments file. I thought it fitted in well with it having wave like shapes on it.
I decided not to use normal buttons but to go for something a bit different and used these 2 buttons that you can thread ribbon through and i used a piece of twine through them, every fisherman has the odd bit of twine or string in their pockets don't they. Finally the image is coloured with promarkers.

I hope you will nip along to the blog here and join in this weeks challenge.
