that means its time for another challenge at

Digi Choosday

and this weeks challenge is

SPRINGTIME PASTELS

I chose the oh so sophisticated

Dollie Daydream Glitz

and decided to have my first attempt at a no-lines image 

(I did this by taking the image into Word & lightening the image before printing)

I coloured with my Pro Markers (list of colours used below), as usual, and added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen to her eye shadow, lips, shoes and gorgeous feather, popping a teeny white flat back pearl onto her hat. I darkened her lovely long eyelashes with a HB pencil.

After die cutting her using a nestie, I coloured the edges with a combo of pale green and pastel pink chalk. I also used the pastel pink chalk on the egdes of the other die cut and the backing paper, both of which are available to download from Polkadoodles

Not only is this my first no-line card its also the first card on which I have used paper straws. I added paper roses, pearl strands, a mulberry paper leaf and a couple of beaded hat pins. I chalked the edge of a small paper doily and added flat back pearls round the edge and to corners of my finished card

I know, another Sunday evening post from me!!!

But I wanted to share with you a card I made recently using the fab 'Handyman Dave' digi image from Polkadoodles

Not only is the digi from Polkadoodles but so are the paper & sentiment. Polkadoodles have a brilliant variety of lots of digi elements that can be used with their co-ordinating images or mixed and matched. I coloured Dave with my Pro Markers and added Glossy Accents to the metal parts of the tools so they have a nice shine. The buttons are from my stash and I used foam pads to attach the sentiment to give a bit more dimension

I have already decided who the recipient of this card is, hope he likes it :)

There's a lot of love going around at the moment, and so the theme for this weeks challenge at Digi Choosday is

Love Is In The Air

I decided I didn't want to do a traditional Valentines love card so made a card for a good friend of mine, who I know will love the sentiment I used. Everything on here, except the pearls,is available from Polka Doodles on the Work & Play 9 Collection

I used the gorgeous 'Love & Kisses' digi and coloured with my Pro Markers, adding glossy accents to the jars. I printed off 2 lots of the main backing paper i used so i could layer up some of the roses. I bent the ticket and used different thickness' of foam pads to attach it to my card

Oh My ....... I LOVE Tatty Twinkles

I love, love, love Tatty Twinkles :)

How did I not know about her before a couple of months ago!

Well since I discovered her I've managed to get myself 5 stamp sets ....... oh and ordered myself a bundle of the cd rom & 4 stamp sets from Create & Craft, now waiting (impatiently) for them to arrive

Anyway here is my very 1st card with the very 1st of my Tatty Twinkles stamps

Isn't she adorable :)

I coloured her with my Pro Markers and added glossy accents, stickles & liquid pearls to the fairy dust. I coloured the edges of my paper layers & the main image with a light blue Pro Markers and then used my distress tool to make the edges rough. The die is a Tattered Lace one and I added some swirls I cut from another die cut, finishing off the card with some teeny flat back gems

I will definitely be back with more Tatty Twinkles cards once my new goodies arrive

It's time for me to post a reminder for the

ALL DRESSED UP FACE BOOK CHALLENGE

and the theme for this month is, of course,

LOVE

I used the beautiful 'Love is in the Air' digi stamp and coloured it with my Pro Markers, adding a clear glitter pen to the teeny bows and hearts. I hand stitched the borders and used an old set of SeeDee's alphabet stamps to make my 'Love' sentiment. The papers are from my stash and I used a thin fluffy cotton for my multi bow and finished off with flat back pearls

In The Pink

It's time for another Digi Choosday Challenge and this week it's

IN THE PINK

I decided to make a tag this week instead of my usual make of a card

I coloured the gorgeous Mermaid image from the Bonbon Belles Collection, with my Pro Markers and added glittery Sakura pens for a touch of sparkle. The backing paper and bow are both from the Work & Play 9 Collection, available at Polka Doodles. I made the lace flower myself and added lots of ribbons for the tie

After all the fab 'Cool Blue' entries we had I hope you will enjoy entering our 'In The Pink' challenge this time

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh My am I loving the latest release from Polka Doodles

Nikky has outdone herself this time with the new collection

I used the gorgeous Octavia Moonfly Rose Garden

I coloured her with Pro Markers, the colours are listed below, and added Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to her wings, eyes and the cute little ladybugs. The flowers and sentiment are also from this collection, which you can find here

I curled the flowers slightly before sticking them with foam pads to a plain black frame I made using black card. I printed the sentiment twice so I could layer it up with foam pads to make it stand out, finishing my make with some striped organza ribbon

This now has pride of place on my craft noticeboard
