Creative Creations Anything Goes

Hiya Bloggers
Its time for another challenge at
and this week we are sponsored by

who are giving the winner
Spellbinders Decagon Die Set

So here is my project, along with a step-by-step of how I created it

I brought the wooden disc kit from That Craft Place  a while ago, fab price of £1.99, and the 3 wooden hearts & wooden ladybug from Crafty Pig Designs

We always have loads of leftover paint in our house so I grabbed what I needed, choosing a few different shades of green, black & red

First step is to paint both sides of all 3 discs, and the edges, in different shades of green. Then paint the ladybugs body, 6 wooden beads & the 3 hearts red and 6 beads black

Paint the ladybugs head black and a thin line down the middle

I used a strong wet glue to stick the hearts to the middle sized disc

To decorate I used some black 6mm flat back pearls, again stuck on wit the strong wet glue. The white pencil is a wax pick-up pencil, they are brilliant for picking up teeny gems and things

Middle disc complete

I wanted to keep my ladybugs pattern simple so just used 6 6mm black flat back pearls

Sticking on again with strong wet glue

I stuck the ladybug onto the largest of the wooden discs

For the smallest disc I chose red & black flat back pearls & hearts in different sizes. I always play around with my placement of tings before sticking down & this time decided it was too crowded using the red flat backs as well as the black, so left them off

Smallest disc complete

I left all 3 discs to dry overnight
The twine in the kit was lovely but it didnt match the colours I was using so I used plain cream garden twine, measuring the distance I wanted the discs to hang at & cut the twine to length

I threaded the red & black beads onto the twine and secured with a knot above the top bead so they wouldnt move about

Now I needed something to hang my discs from, and found an old curtain ring in a yucky brown colour

So I sanded it
The final thing to complete my ladybug hanging was to tie the 3 discs at different lengths to the little eye on the curtain ring and it was ready for hanging

I hope you liked my little tutorial and that you will join in with the challenge this week

As soon as I saw the image I knew she just had to be neon bright colours. I coloured her skin with copics, am loving the way they colour skin, and the rest with pro markers. The papers were from my stash, the sentiment I made in word and seeing as every girl needs glitter I added some dots of orange, green and blue stickles.

Smile Please

Good Morning Bloggers
Its time for another Team B challenge at
and this week our sponsors are

who are giving the winner

and this is the inspirational picture

So here is my make this week

I decided to stick to the round theme of the inspirational photo and made a round easel card from purple cardstock. I cut several different sized circles all with either a circle pattern or embossed circles/dots, and layered them up. The gorgeous image I coloured with pro markers and added glossy accents to the camera lens, then mounted her with foam pads so she stands up from the base. I added card candi in co-ordinating colours. The 2 small wooden cameras I coloured with chalk so they matched the pastel scheme and used 2 different coloured ink pads on the 'smile' sentiment stamp.

I hope that you will join us in the challenge this week and be in with a chance of getting some of these super cute digi images.
***GUEST DT CALL***
Team B is looking for someone to join us as a guest design team member for the next 3 challenges. If you would like to apply please add DT to your name when you link up your projects.

Thank You

Good Morning Bloggers

Its time for another challenge at Creative Creations Challenges and this week the theme is
'THANK YOU TEACHER'
and our fantastic sponsor is

MayzyArt

Now as my children are 20 and 17 I don't have any thank you teacher cards to make, so I came up with an idea I thought still stuck pretty closely to the 'school' theme. What do you think?

I brought a cheap A5 notebook and covered the front with plain red card, sticking it about 5mm from the wire bound side to give enough room to open without the wires digging in to the card. I then found a piece of creamy coloured embossed card that matched the colours I had used for the digi perfect (yes I know people say you should choose papers first and then colour but no matter how many times I try to do that i always end up colouring first lol). Sticking to the red, cream and green theme I had going on, I layered up another piece of red card stock that I had embossed with swiss dots onto green paper. To add a touch of bling I found a scrap of green handmade paper to use for the sentiment tag and some metallic alphas I believe came from the £shop a while ago. Then I went completely OTT and cut off loads of strips of ribbon around 150mm and tied them randomly to each of the coils of wire and
TA_DAAAAA
a pretty notebook that would be suitable as a teacher gift had i teachers to make gifts for

I hope you pop along and enter the challenge, I look forward to seeing all your fab makes

Its All Cogs-wallop

Happy Tuesday Blog Lovers

Today its my ladies on Team B at JIC time to host the challenge, and the inspirational photo this week is

Yep the good 'ole Steampunk Heart.
Our fantastic sponsor for this challenge is

Delicious Doodles are giving the winner of this challenge 4 digi images.

So here's what I did with the stunning Tattoos and Feathers digi

She is coloured with my pro markers and layered onto paper from my stash. I embossed a piece of black linen card with a cogs embossing folder. Before I stuck everything down I used my chalks to add colour to the edges of my card, the white card just didn't work with this. I added a striped feather, sentiment tag that I coloured with chalks again & distressed the edges, an old bus ticket, some teeny cogs & watch parts and dotted some copper liquid pearls in the corners.
I hope you pop along and join the challenge and be in with a chance of winning 4 fab digi's.

My 1st Post As Creative Creations DT

Good Morning Bloggers

Yes you read right, I am now a DT member for Creative Creations and the challenge this time is

SHAPED CARDS, NO SQUARE'S OR OBLONG'S

and is sponsored by the fabulous

Here is what I made

The image is the gorgeous 'Old Time Owen' and you can find him here.
I coloured him with my pro markers and gave the flowers centers a dot of White Opal Liquid Pearls. The card is a 5" x 5" that I cut into a flower shape and then covered with paper pieces, from my scrap paper box, that co-ordinated with Owen's clothes. The sentiment stamp is one I brought ages ago from Pink Gem Designs, and I added some leaf die cuts I had.

I hope you will come along and join in this fab challenge, and I look forward to seeing your creations.

I'm NOT Wearing A Hat!!!!!

Good Morning Bloggers

Ohhhhhhhh its so exciting, its my daughters 20th birthday on the 30th of this month and on Saturday her boyfriend Andrew came round and as he couldn't wait another week to give her her pressie HE PROPOSED!!!!!! Of course she said yes, OMG I'm going to me a MIL!! BUT not for a few years yet. They have been together since they were 14 so I am pretty sure its the real thing.

OK so onto the strange title of my post. I am by no means a posh frilly dresser, much preferring a pair of jeans and a tshirt, so I asked Ashleigh if a new pair of jeans and a nice top would be OK for me to wear (only joking of course) she said NO! But I don't do dresses, think the last time I wore a dress was my own wedding nearly 13yrs ago, so I think it will be a nice pair of trousers and nice top BUT NO HAT!! The only hats I wear are woolly bobble hats in the winter. I might be pushed to a pretty clip or flower of something, but I have plenty of time to think about that.

Anyway seeing as I was up to my ears in crafty mess, sorting stuff out into boxes and pots etc, I thought a nice CAS card would be OK.

I used a 5x5 card blank and added a layer of white glitter card, ten embossed plain white card with the swiss dots embossing folder. The little silver joined hearts is what started me off thinking CAS (I came across a bag full of them in my sorting out) and then just a simple congrats stamp mounted onto glitter card again.
If she is anything like me, Ashleigh will be keeping all her cards and things in a special box to remember in years to come.

So my next job is invitations for the engagement party in August, then compiling a file of wedding stationary ideas. I've told her I need at least 5yrs warning to make them lol

Thank you for coming to have a peek and sharing in my news
