2 Cuddly Buddly Birthdays

Good Morning Bloggers

I'm going to share 2 birthday cards I made recently with 2 stamp sets from

For my 1st card I used the cute dog stamp from the 'Birthday Wishes' set

Isn't he just so cute :)
I coloured him with my Pro Markers and used card & papers from my stash to make an easel card. I used a lot of my paper scraps to create lots of bright layers in lots of different designs. The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is from the 'Little Poppets Birthday' stamp set which I used on my next card. To finish this off I added card candi in matching colours

I would like to enter this one into these challenges:

My 2nd card, as I said earlier, uses a stamp from the 'Little Poppets Birthday' stamp set

Again coloured with Pro markers I wanted to try a new, darker hair colour and I'm quite pleased with the result. The papers are from my stash and I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the dotty edge. I used some sequins in the Aqua Blue colour which you can find here along with lots of other colours and styles. I also used glossy accents on the balloon, flat back gems and some of my favourite organza ribbon to finish my card

Cool Blue

Good Morning Bloggers

This weeks challenge at Digi Choosday is

COOL BLUE

I used the cool Guitar Boy digi from the Work & Play 8 collection, along with a sentiment and guitar embellishment from the same collection
You can also buy him as a digi download on his own here
Isn't he fab, a real 'Cool Dude'. I coloured him with my Pro Markers and mounted him on a film strip die cut that I backed with a piece of acetate wrapping from a die. I then stuck small card shims on the back of the film strip so it stood proud of the card slightly
I took the sentiment into Word and merged the guitar embellishment onto the corner of it, printing off the guitar an extra 3 times so I could layer it up, using 1mm thick foam pads
As you can see I only ended up using 2 additional guitars as while delicately cutting them out I sneezed and cut straight though the neck on 1 of them :)

Pop along to the main challenge blog for my fab DT buddies makes & inspiration and for the full rules on entering
and don't forget our Face Book group where you can share your makes, ask questions and find out all the latest news

I cant wait to see all your entries this week

Teddy Birthday

Hi Bloggers

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend
I'm sharing a card I made awhile ago using a sweet Cuddly Buddly teddy stamp from the 'Birthday Wishes' set

I coloured him with Pro Markers keeping the whole image pastel. The bunting, sentiment circle and number stamps are all included in the stamp set. I used papers, ribbons and a big flower from my stash, finishing the sentiment off with dots of liquid pearls round the edge

I hope you like it, off to do some more card layout research online

All You Need Is .....

LOVE

That's the theme for this weeks challenge at

I used the gorgeous Etty Mailbox digi image

I love this image as its so versatile and can be used for birthdays, anniversary's, valentines or even just a quick 'hello friend' card.
I coloured Etty with my Pro markers and used papers from my stash. The February calendar is part of a full calendar that's in the 'Work & Play 5 Festive Hollibobs' download, and I coloured a white pearl heart with a red Pro Marker to match my card. Since I learnt how to make rolled paper roses Ive gone a bit mad making them, and thought just 3 little ones would look good to finish my card off

I hope you will pop over to the main blog to see all of my fellow DT's makes and you can find the challenge rules there also.

Happy Birthday

Good Morning Bloggers

I'm here today sharing my card for this weeks challenge at

and the theme this week is

BIRTHDAY

I used the super cute image from the
and coloured her with Pro markers, I also added glossy accents to her glasses. The papers are from the Work & Play 6 collection and the sentiment is also from Polka Doodles. I didn't want to go OTT with embellishments on this card as I printed the image quite large, so just used a few pieces of card candi and some pink & white twine

I hope you will come along and join our challenge this week, cant wait to see all your lovely creations

Beautiful Peony

Hello Bloggers

I know its unusual for me to be blogging of an evening, even more so a Sunday evening but I am watching snooker and waiting for MOTD to come on so I can see the brilliant goals we scored today (we being Arsenal), and decided to blog a card I made recently with the most beautiful stamp set from Cuddly Buddly called

Isn't that just the most beautiful stamp. Now I always thought that Peony's were  just pink & lilac, different shades but just those 2 colours. On asking Google for photos I found some pics of the most stunning deep reds and peach coloured flowers too. As I'm not a huge peach fan I opted for a lovely rich deep red and teamed it with olive coloured leaves and mustard butterflies, all of which were coloured with my Pro Markers. I stamped and coloured the butterflies on the main image twice so I could layer them up for some depth.
I used one of the smaller individual butterfly stamps that comes in the set to make my backing paper. I stamped some linen textured card using Mustard Seed Distress Ink and edged with a mix of ducky pink & pale yellow chalks. The final touch was to colour some white seam binding the same deep red as my peony, spray lightly with water and scrunch up. once dry I made a triple bow with long tails and mounted it behind my image.

There are a few different stamp sets in this style and more coming so keep checking Cuddly Buddly for the new release stamps coming soon. Also why not 'like' the Cuddly Buddly Facebook page to find out first about new releases, competitions and all the latest news

All Dressed Up **New Release**

Hi Bloggers

How lucky am I. Not only did I get to share my 1st DT card for All Dressed Up a couple of days ago, I am here now sharing the fabulous New Releases, all in time for Valentines Day

Happy Valentines

With Love

3 Chic City Girls

Little Dreamer

I used 'With Love' for my project this time

I coloured the image with Pro Markers and added glossy accents to the 'shine' on the bottles. I wanted to make a more male-ish type card so went with a green and brown theme papers and frayed the edges before hand sewing borders and using chalks on the raw edges. I coloured some seam binding with a vintage green colour Pro marker before scrunching it up, then made the bow on my new Bow Maker (love my new toy)
You can find all the New Release digi images in the
All Dressed Up Stamps  Etsy store and see all the fabulous DT makes using the images on the challenge blog here

Tiddly Inks Design Team Call

Hi Bloggers

I wanted to share with you 2 of my favourite Tiddly Inks images, why 2 you ask? Well if you have seen all the beautiful stamps and digi images they have then you will know why I couldn't narrow it down to 1 :) and if not then go have a ganders at them here

Onto my 1st make which uses the digi image

Isn't she just the sweetest little fairy. She is one of my favourites as I think she is very versatile, you could add anything you wanted to where she is looking at including the card sentiment. I had to add a die cut ladybug, cant you tell from my blog I am slightly obsessed with them?
I made more rolled paper flowers for this card, love doing those atm, and added teeny die cut dragonflies that I had coloured and sparkled. I used a simple sentiment so this could be a card for many occasions

Onto my 2nd make which uses

I got this as a clear stamp, it was a magazine freebie along with another Tiddly Inks image, and love this one because again she is so versatile, and can be used for Spring, Autumn and Winter cards. I used lots of layers on this card, distressing the edges with chalks and adding distress stickles to the paper flowers and die cut leaves. I finished her off with a big organza bow

Thank You

Good Morning Bloggers
&
Happy 2015

I'm here with my make for the first challenge of the year from Digi Choosday and the theme is
'Thank You'
No doubt we all either need to make or have made Thank You cards for all the lovely pressies we received from Santa, so this is the perfect challenge for you to share your makes in

I used the super sweet 'Etty Shy' and coloured her with my Pro Markers. The papers, flowers and bow are also all digi downloads from Polka Doodles. I cut the letters from a new die I brought and stuck them to the flowers, then used cotton to hang the flowers from the bow. The final touch was the buttons in matching colours and glossy accents to Etty's nose

I can't wait to see your fab 'Thank You' creations

**New All Dressed Up Face Book Challenge**

Hi Bloggers

I am super excited to share my news with you, I've been itching to tell this for what seems like an age

The group started its very first challenge on 20th December and the theme is
GLITTER & SPARKLE

I used the gorgeous 'Prom Princess' image and coloured her with my Pro Markers. I wanted to keep this quite simple as the image is so lovely she had to be the main focus. I layered her onto kraft card and 2 shades of pink card stock from my stash. The flowers are my very first attempt at rolled flowers without a die, I did have a die years ago but could never get the hang of making the flowers. I used kraft paper and added the sparkle with Icicle Stickles, which I also used round the edge of one of the pink papers. I also added a bit of bling with a few tiny gems.

You have until the 18th January to enter the very first challenge and you can find all the fab All Dressed Up images and papers here and lots of inspiration on the All Dressed Up Blog

I am so looking forward to seeing all your glittery and sparkling projects
