Feeling Fruity

Hi Bloggers

I'm sharing something fun & bright today, I suppose it's a bit summery ........ unlike the weather here at the moment, don't know what's happened to summer lol

I am a member of a FaceBook group where we do lots of swaps including Pocket Letters with different themes each time. The theme this time was 'FRUITY'
I knew straight away that I was going to use my Tilda with Cherry Basket stamp, and coloured her with ProMarkers (colours listed below). As Tilda was too big to fit inside a pocket I stuck her to the front on a pocket. I used Memento Dew Drop ink pads in various colours and Clearly Besotted Fruitilicious stamps for my ATC cards and did the borders by hand. I love the CAS style of this and finished it off with Bakers Twine in co-ordinating colours

I hope you like my make today

LOVE This Image

Hello again Bloggers

I so couldn't wait to colour this image when I chose it as my DT digi for this times Lemon Shortbread challenge

She is called Moss Fairy Skull and was a joy to work with. I decided to make a notecard to go with a swap I am sending to America, hope my partner likes it. The card is only 5" x 2.5" so I printed her pretty small but will defo be working on her in a larger size
I coloured her with ProMarkers, colours below, and used a dark grey card as the base card. The green doily is from a Dovecraft collection, the flower was white so I coloured in purple shades and that as well as the gems were from my stash

You can find her along with lots of other beautiful digi images, including gothic, fairy & cute, here

You can enter our challenge here with any image but if you use a Lemon Shortbread image you win more digi's

Pretty Poppys

Hi Bloggers

I wasn't really sure whether to say 'Good Morning' or 'Good Night' seeing as its 12.48am right now so I went with the simple Hi :-)

I wanted to share something I made a couple of days ago, something a bit different for me

Now I know that when we moved to the bungalow I was going to stop saving everything with the intention of using them for some sort of project but I just couldn't throw away the plastic rings from the inside of dst rolls, they would make great mini wreaths. So thats what I did

I just love poppy stamps, dies and images and the stamp I used for these flowers was in a freebie set, along with the dies, in a Crafters Companion magazine pack. I stamped them with a brown inkpad and coloured with ProMarkers in Cornflower, Denim & Pastel blues.
Firstly I covered the whole of the plastic ring with the blue gingham ribbon, leaving long tails and making a hanging loop at the top. Once the ring was covered I layered up the poppy petals, added the centres and used Glossy Accents on them for a bit of shine. I made the banner myself, coloured with the same blue markers, edged with the brown inkpad, and I used a small £1 alphabet stamp set from Hobbycraft. The sentiment isn't perfectly straight but I'm happy with it

I hope you like it, and I have more rings saved to make more wreaths
:-)
