The Stamping Chef New Release - Batter Up

Yep OK it sounds like something to do with a chip shop, but its not. Its the name of the fab new release from Tamara at

and this gorgeous girl is called
'Batter Up'

I coloured her with pro markers and decided to try a different combination for skin tone to what I usually do, and I like it, a lot. The papers are from my stash, the sentiment is a rubber stamp I inked with 2 different memento dew drop inks. I kept the embellies simple with some red & blue buttons and coloured some pearl flat backs using pro markers. The 'Go Girl' is some little foam alphas I picked up for a few pence at a craft shop clearance ages ago.

I hope you like my sporty girl, and don't forget you can grab her with 20% off this weekend only.

Big IS Beautiful

Good Morning Blogland
Whoopsie Me!! I forgot to schedule my post for today but here it is, in the nik of time I think

Today is Friday (even thought my brain forgot and we've not even had the bank holiday yet but I'm still confused what day it is lol) so that means NEW RELEASE day at TSC
Now a few weeks ago I asked the fabulous Tamara (TSC Owner/Creator/Artist/ Amazing Person/ Etc Etc) is she ever thought of drawing a larger lady who was still sexy like her other ladies. Being a large lady myself I have found most of the bigger gal digis are comical and made to get laughs, not portraying us as sexy mummas.
Well Tamara certainly got this spot on, I love her. She is called
Round=A Shape 2
and you can get here with 20% off over the weekend

I knew that I wanted to make something for me to keep using her so I pulled out an A5 book I had been storing for future use. I covered the front cover in all different designs of washi tape, god I love that stuff, and added a title 'Colour My World' with liquid pearls, the more colour the better
I coloured the image with pro markers and roughly tore round the edges which I then chalked in different colours
As the book has blank pages I decided it would be my stamp reference book, its nearly full of images of all the stamps I have already :)

Why don't you pop along and grab Round=A Shape 2 this weekend and get her at a bargain price

Rollin' On By

Good Morning!
Today see's something rather special,
ROLLER DERBY!!

Both Tamara & Betty have done amazing images for the Roller Derby and each one comes with its own challenge
I used
 Kitty Paw Ventura
from
The Stamping Chef…..
The challenge for those using KittyPaw Ventura is a recipe challenge

1 Ribbon
2 Buttons
3 Papers

I coloured Kitty with pro markers and added glossy accents to her lips and the wheels on her roller boots. I decided she needed to be bold & bright so went with orange, lime and cerise colourways & love how she turned out. I printed the sentiment from my laptop, it took me ages to think of something to go on this card.

If you want to play along you can find KittyPaw at The Stamping Chef and Bonnie at Simply B Stamps. The winners will get an amazing prize so go get your images and play
BUT
will you be Team TSC or Team SBS
the choice is yours

I used 'The White Queen' and coloured her with pro markers. The papers are from my stash, the easel card is from Craftwork Cards and I embossed a silver strip & a small heart with an embossing folder from Darice (I think). The hearts were cut using Sizzix Thinlit Scallop Heart dies and I added heart shaped flat backs. The sentiment is from the filmstrip stamp set from Whimsy Stamps.

BINGO!

Hello Bloggers
It's time for another challenge at
and this time it's a great one

BINGO

Our sponsor for this challenge is
and the winner will get a $5 gift certificate to spend instore

If you havent done a Bingo challenge before its quite simple, you have to include 3 elements from the chart above that are in a straight line. Tat can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal but cannot be zigzag.

Here is my make using
Pearls, Image & Sentiment

This was my first ever A4 card and I made it for my daughters 20th birthday. It was intimidating for a start as the image and space to fill was so much bigger than my usual 6x6 card but once I got stuck in I really enjoyed making it.
The image is from KennyK and is called Madison Attitude, I love KennyK images, you can always find one to suit any occasion/person. I coloured her with pro markers, the papers are from my stash, the pink one printed with writing is from DCWV Text Prints Paper Stack. I used the Crafts Too Graceful Flourish die & another die I can't for the life of me remember what it's called, sorry. I embossed a piece of purple card with a grid pattern using my hougie board and added a border I made using a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment I made on the computer and added flat back pearls to finish the whole thing off.
My daughter loved it, the image is so her as clothes shopping is her favourite pass time.

I hope you will join us in the Bingo challenge and all of us DT look forward to seeing your creations.

A Spooky Hello

Goooooooooood Morning Bloggers
(trying to sound spooky there)
Its Friday which means New Release day at
and this weeks new release is called 'A Bootyful Night' and you can find her here
This is what I made with the naughty woman

As my children are 20 & 17 and we don't do Halloween anymore I didn't want to make a card that was just going to sit and gather dust, so I made a tag. I have a great photo of my kids when they were about 18months and 4years old dressed up for a Halloween party and I want to use it on a smash*book page so this tag will go perfect.
I used pro markers to colour her and really love the way the pumpkins turned out. The tag itself I made from a posh Christmas cracker I kept, they were black velvet & gold card so no way was I throwing those away. I found some Gothic looking purple backing paper and tore a shape to fit on the tag,I added a piece of silver mesh and some orange weave material underneath the paper before splodging loads of pva glue on. I wanted the glue to soak into the paper so I could crinkle it, it worked fab. After the glue was all dry I went round at odd intervals and pulled & cut strands from the mesh and material so it was ragged. I then added some copper coloured liquid pearl dots to the edges, on the paper and to her buttons.
Well that's my make, I hope you like & don't forget to stop by the store over the weekend and pick A Bootyful Night up.

Scarlett Hunger

Hiya Bloggers
I am sharing the brand new image from
today, she is called Scarlett Hunger

I felt very brave today and decided it was time I tried using the watercolour pencils I brought months ago. I have to say I am very happy with the outcome. Her skin doesnt look as if its been coloured in this photo but I made her very pale. This is my very first attempt with watercolour pencils and I think I will be having a few more goes with them.
If you love the image, go and grab her from the store, join the facebook challenge group here and you could be in with the change of winning your choice of a free image.

Just Inspirational Challenges & Bugaboo

Hello Bloggers
Today it's my ladies turn to do the Just Inspirational Challenges challenge
and our sponsor this week is
who will give the winner of this challenge 7 digi images of their choice
This week we have an inspirational photo and a sketch

I decided to make myself a picture for my craft room using the fab Bugaboo digi Ladybug Stack

I LOVE ladybugs and gingerbread people so whenever I can make something using wither of those I really enjoy myself.
I had some mount board shapes that I brought from a friend on facebook, so I cut a square aperture from the middle and painted it black. The digi I printed at A5 size, coloured with pro markers & added glossy accents to the bugs noses and flower middles. I added yellow paper flowers from my stash and gave them blue middles to match my pic using buttons & dew drops. To give the flowers some strength I covered them in glossy accents and smooch glitz. The day I made this I had just received some black pompom ribbon and red spotty organza, they were perfect to do my stripes (although my stripes are at the bottom not the middle like the sketch) & I added a teeny resin ladybug under the bow.
I hope you will come along and join in this times challenge and be in with a chance of winning 7 great digi images.

Twinkle Twinkle

Good Morning Bloggers

How are you all doing? I must say I am not enjoying this sticky heat we in the UK have at the moment, but I hope it stays nice for my daughter & her fiance's engagement party on saturday.

Today is friday, so that means its 'New Release Day' at
and this weeks new release is called
this is my make with her

As soon as I saw her I knew I wanted to make her into a natural, woodland nymph.
I used pro markers to colour her and stayed with muted blues, greens & browns. I used sakura pens for her wings and the dotty detail on her bodice. I made her background by dotting with the tiny nib and bugger one with the 3 lightest shades of the colours I used on her. I used papers from my stash, die cuts of Tim Holtz-Elegant Flourish, Cheery Lynn-Tiny Things With Wings (I used the butterfly & dragonflies) and added some flat backed pearls.

If you go along to the store you can grab her with 20% off for a limited time :) so whats keeping you???
