Clean And Simple

Happy Tuesday Bloggers

It's time for the next Digi Choosday challenge and this week its

Clean & Simple

This is one of my favourite themes to work with, and I did no colouring on this unless you count using chalks round the edges

I used the very handsome pre-coloured Harvey from the Cherryblossom Lane collection, printed him out twice and layered up his glasses, book, feet and ears before sticking him onto a piece of white card edged with pale blue chalk and then onto a  4x4" mini card. The sentiment is also from Polka Doodles and I layered it over the top of 3 banners I made from normal white card edged in chalk. This was a quick and easy card to make and the pre-coloured digi's in the Polkadoodles collections are idea for any last minute makes

Spots & Dots

Good Morning Bloggers

It's that time of the week again when I am here to share my DT make for the new challenge at

and this weeks theme is

SPOTS & DOTS

Believe it or not this is the very first time I've made a twisted easel card :) Yes I know people have been making them for ages but I just never tried until now, and I am quite please with it
I use the super sweet Luna and coloured her with my Pro Markers. I love the combo of red & black and Gerbera's are my favourite ever flowers, so to match the big flower in her hair I stamped 2 Gerbera's onto thick red vellum, cut them out, coloured the middle black with Pro Marker and heat embossed using a clear embossing powder. I also made some cute little ribbon flowers using spotted organza and grosgrain ribbons with black flat back pearls for the centres. The fab papers I used are from the Octavia Moonfly collection and are in the Paper Heaven 4 and Plain Jane paper collections. I finished off with some flat back pearls and a sentiment mounted on an ornate die cut frame

You have 2 weeks to enter our new challenge and if you pop over to the main blog you can see my fellow DT members fantastic makes, read the rules and see what this weeks prize is

Tiddlyinks Blog Hop

Hi Bloggers

A few months ago the lovely Christy of Tiddlyinks fame asked me and some other ladies if we would like to do a blog hop featuring some of her fantastic images. After a lot of thought ......... like 1.1seconds I said YES PLEASE and then when the hop was all sorted out my laptop and printer decided to have a falling out and I wasn't sure if I could get my image printed in time but my very clever daughter came to the rescue and made the printer & laptop be friends again.

So here is my finished card using the super cute
digital stamp

Isn't he just fab :)
I coloured him with Pro Markers, listed the colours used below, and added glossy accents to his 'Cool Dude' glasses. I cut out his hair & glasses, sandcastle & flag from a second image I had coloured and layered them on top of my main image using 1mm thick foam pads. The papers I used are a mixture of DCWV Printed Craft Stack & All About Boys Stack along with some plain coloured card from my stash. I cut the large crab & jellyfish from the backing paper and mounted them with foam pads to give more dimension, and the sentiments are from an old set I have and have no idea of the brand sorry

If you head back to the main blog here you can carry on hopping to the other blogs in the hop and see more great makes using fab Tiddlyinks images

I want to thank Christy for asking me to take part in the hop and giving me the chance to work with one of her wonderful digital images again

I used the beautiful Octavia Moonfly Dragonfly digi image and coloured her with Pro Markers, I've listed the colours used below. The textured papers I used are also from the Octavia Moonfly collection, called Plain Jane, and come in 6 fab colours for only 99p. I distressed them with Tim Holtz inks and layered them up. The sentiment is from the Octavia Moonfly Say It All collection and I layered everything up onto a shaped card blank, adding lots of clear gems to the edges and corners, and 3 teeny weeny pearls to the flowers on Octavia's hat.

Make It Crafty Clean & Simple

Hello Bloggers

I'm sharing one of my favourite styles of card today, CAS and using the super sweet Vixie Digi Stamp from Make It Crafty who are currently having a DT Call for a new CAS Design Team

I started by taking Vixie into Word and perching her on top of my sentiment, which I boxed, and printed it all off onto white card stock.
I coloured her with my Pro Markers, there is a list of the colours I used below, and added Wink of Stella Glitter Clear pen to the detail in her wings.
I used my usual 6x6" square white card blank and a piece of butterfly printed paper from the Forever In Time 'Frolic' paper pad, slightly smaller than the card front. I cut the card with my coloured image on into a square measuring 5.5" with the image in the bottom right corner, then cut a piece of card 2mm bigger on each side. Before mounting the image I coloured the edge of the card in the same green as her dress, then layered everything up onto the card front.
For the finishing detail I used the smallest XCut Butterfly punch and punched out 7 teeny butterflies, colouring them in matching colours to my image and using a wet glue I stuck them down with their wings bent upwards slightly ........
....... and that's it

Add A Die Cut

Good Morning Bloggers

I'm sharing my make for the new Digi Choosday challenge, and this week is

'Use At Least One Die'

Having just discovered the gorgeous Cherryblossom Lane collection I decided to use the sweet Noah as well as papers from the collection. Noah is available as a digi stamp as well as a clear stamp set

I coloured the image with Pro Markers and matt & layered 3 different papers from the collection onto pale mustard coloured card, adding a button and bakers twine for decoration. For my die cut element I made the sentiment flags using a Joy Crafts alphabet die. Its quite a simple card but I didn't want it to be too fussy as its for my cousins little boys 1st birthday

Hop on over to the main blog to see my fellow DT members fab makes this week, along with the rules and details of this weeks prize

Vintage or Shabby

Good Evening Bloggers

I am here with my project to remind you all about the

and the theme this month is

I used the aptly named 'Looking Gorgeous' digi stamp and coloured her with Pro Markers, using a white gel pen on her hair and glossy accents on some of the beads. The papers are from my stash and I distressed them all using a Pumice Stone Distress Ink Pad, tearing some of the edges. I made the flower & leaves myself using some organza ribbon & fine netting
They are quite easy to make, for the flower you just cut some rough circles in various circles and hold the edges over a tea light candle (not close else the material/ribbon burns) until it starts to crinkle, turning every now and again until all the edges are crinkled. Repeat for all your circles, you can have as many or few as you like, and stack on top of each other. You can use a pretty brad to secure them all together, or sew/glue them together in the centre and add a button or gem/pearl. For the leaves cut as many lengths as leaves you want and hold one end over the candle to singe it slightly. decide how you want them positioned behind the flower and stick with either wet glue or red dst
The sentiment is from a stamp set I have and I added 3 small flat backed pearls in coordinating colours

Don't forget to join the All Dressed Up Facebook Group and check out my fellow DT members makes for this fabulous challenge
