Hi Bloggers
Its time for another challenge at Digi Choosday and the theme we have this week is
LOTS OF LAYERS
I am still trying to do other things than cards so decided this week to make a recipe folder for my daughter. She loves baking and has lots of recipe books but also lots of recipes on odd pieces of paper, so I thought a folder would be a good idea
I used the sweet Chef Girl digi from the Work & Play 7 Collection which is available as a CD or a Download here, and I used some papers from the Work & Play 6 Collection
I made the pages by cutting some 300gsm card to 7"x7" and sticking 2 pieces together for each page, then covered with plain papers in assorted colours. For each page I made a pocket from papers and a double sided recipe card by die cutting some lined sheets from a notebook and larger card pieces.
As well as using some Polka Doodles papers I used some sweet/candy themes papers and toppers that were a free gift with a magazine quite a while ago, and some flat back buttons shaped like cupcakes and cooking items.
I coloured the Chef Girl digi with Pro Markers and mounted her with foam pads onto the front cover of the folder along with a variety of different alpha's.
To finish the folder I used some 1.25" book rings and decorated them with assorted ribbon pieces, and a paper pieced cupcake covered with glossy accents.
I think my daughter will like this and she will be able to keep all her odd recipes all together in one place
Why not pop over to the main Digi Choosday blog where you can see all my teamies fab projects and get more inspiration for this challenge along with the rules and the prize offered
