Fasten Your Seatbelts

Thats the name of the new release at

this week

I coloured her with pro markers and decided to keep her quite simple. I used plain blue, red and white card and did faux stitching.
Having never flown I asked my daughter what airline crew say to you, she told me they point out where the important things are. So thats how I got the 'here' greeting :)

Merry Mistletoe

Hiya Bloggers
I'm back with this weeks New Release from

I love this image and I think she is just perfect for those special male cards

Don't Pout, Just Kiss

I coloured her with skin with copics and the rest with pro markers, added glossy accents to her lips and icicle stickles on her shoes and the pompoms on her leg warmers
The red backing paper is from DoCrafts 12 days of Christmas collection, backed on pine green card. The present paper is from my stash along with the gold ribbon and flat back pearls. The 'Joy' sentiment stamp is from the Whimsy 'Holiday Mini Postage Stamps' set and the 'Christmas Kisses' stamp was from a magazine freebie set

If you head over to TSC store this weekend you can get this fab digi with 20% off

Bella Fairy

'Bella Fairy'
is the name of this beautiful digi from
and I would like to share my take on her with you

Again she was one of the images I took on holiday with me to colour, I decided to keep her very simple and pastel. I coloured her with my pro markers and then once home I found some pretty pink backing paper with a daisy/doily pattern on. I coloured a plain white doily with pastel coloured chalks to match the images and the flowers I had picked out to use. I added flat backed pearls to the flower centres and the corners of the card. The wings I made super sparkly with Smooch Glitz.
You can pop along to the Kith & Kin fb page here to keep up to date with all the new releases

BUT

The backing papers were from my stash, as were the flowers which I used brads and flat back gems as their centres. I layered the flowers over 2 'Marianne Design Creatables Branch Forest' die cuts that i cut from floral and spotty papers

Mirror Mirror .......

....... on the wall
This weeks New Release at The Stamping Chef is just brilliant

I coloured her with pro markers and white gel pen, added clear glitz glam to the mirror and used a black glitter sakura on the mirror frame. I used a quite detailed paper so just used black co-dinations to matt it onto. The leaves & swirls are cut from purple mulberry & black linen paper using Marianne Design Branch Forrest die

Screw You!

Noooooooooooo I'm not being nasty or abusive, that's the name on this weeks New Release at The Stamping Chef

As soon as I saw her I knew she would be perfect for the dreaded male card, why do I struggle making men's cards, it does my head in
So she was coloured with pro markers and I used papers from my stash. The sentiment I stamped using some small wooden alphabet stamps, and yes I wanted it to look wonky. I added some buttons and a spanner charm to give a bit of embellishment but not too OTT
If you buy her this weekend you will get a fantastic 20% off the price but only for the weekend, so what are you waiting for

Another Beautiful Kith & Kin Image

I'm here to share another gorgeous digi image from Kith & Kin Stamp Company and when I say gorgeous I mean gorgeous

This is 'Ella Ballerina' isnt she adorable, the sentiment is from Kith & Kin too
I coloured her with pro markers and added glossy accents to her eyes, lips and the heart on her hair bow. The papers are from my stash and I used a deep purple card for matting and the die cut frame. I used 2 shades of pink organza ribbon, 1 thinner than the other and used my bow maker to make a super bow (my bows are normally wonky but this one is great), and added some flat back pearls in pink & purple to finish the card
Keep a lookout on the facebook page here for more new releases

JIC with Delicious Doodles

It's time for another Team B challenge at
and what a fab challenge & sponsor we have this time

 KRAFT CARD/PAPER

Delicious Doodles will give the winner 4 digi images

Here's what I made with
ZODIAC - SAGITTARIUS

My Mum will be 60 this year so I wanted to make her a special card. I started with an 8x8 kraft card and it kinda all flowed from there. I knew it had to be blue & white, her fave colour combo, and not be too fussy or girly. As her birthday is in december i cut some poinsettia flowers from kraft paper and the centers from the cardstock I had backed the image on. It needed some texture so I used some swirl embossed white card (see pic below). The image is coloured with pro markers and her hair & tail have fine glitter on. I added some cloudy blue paper & a strip of white organza ribbon but it still needed something special so I decided to add a total of 60 pale blue gems as borders & corners, now it is complete
I hope you will join in the challenge with us this week. Pop over to the challenge blog here to see my fabulous ladies makes using kraft

Beautiful Rory Fairy

I'm here with a new release from the uber talented Kyra at
this is the beautiful
Rory Fairy

Isn't she just gorgeous
When I went on holiday a couple of weeks ago I printed off loads of images & packed up all my pro markers so I could sit & colour in the evenings, so Rory came to the seaside with me
I decided to try a darker colourway than the usual fairy pastels I do, and I think it worked out OK
She is coloured with pro markers & for her wings I used sakura's, backing paper was from my stash as were the gems. I brought the fab big roses for 50p a bunch of 5 on holiday (got them in 4 or 5 colours) and the long spiral is from WOC thanks to my team-mate Tracey for letting me know about them (I now have those in 4 or 5 colours too), the other flowers are from my stash
There will be lots more new releases over the coming weeks as I know Kyra is working on & has done some fabulous images, so you might want to bookmark the site & join the fb page here

BLOG CANDY!!!

OHHHHHHHHHH I was just playing around with my blog when I noticed its my blogoversary in 59 days. It got me thinking maybe I could have a little candy. Then I looked at my followers 181 with google & 4 with bloglovin and I came up with an idea
I will have a surprise blog candy to be drawn on my blogoversary (59 days time) AS LONG AS I have a total of 200 followers combined between google & bloglovin, I already have 185 so that's only another 15 to find
So what do you have to do to be eligible?
1. Be a follower ( and NOT just a candy grabber)
2. Share my candy either in your side bar or a post
3. Post a comment here with a link to your blog/post
That's it, simple. So if you want to be in with a change of some surprise candy, and don't worry it wont be a used foam pad or a dried up glue stick, it will be some pretties & sparklies, then get sharing my candy and fingers crossed I will be back with a winner on December 20th 2013

She's A Siren

Its New Release day again at
and this week we have
SIRENA
She was so lovely to colour and I am really pleased with how she turned out. I used pro markers to colour her and clear ZIG Wink of Stella to highlight her tail and hair.
I decided once she was coloured that she needed to be on more than a card so found this wicker basket, that once housed candles, and set about altering it. I used turquoise, green & white spiders web and a strip of hessian that I pulled apart slightly and stuck it all to the basket with loads of pva, added turquoise and orange dew drops, and bronze sea themed charms to the top of the basket and then washed all over the top of the basket with Pixie Dust Glimmer Glam. On the front of the basket I unraveled white & turquoise paper raffia and stuck that and twine in waves & swirls on with pva and dotted turquoise dew drops around. Then i covered the rest of the basket again with glimmer glam. I used the same twine to tie the lid to the back of the basket so it flips open.
I really enjoyed making this and although it doesnt have a use at the moment it wont be long until I find something to fill it with

If you would like to get Sirena to play with you can get 20% off this weekend only

BRADS!!!!!

No I'm not getting excited about Mr.Pitt (although I would, wouldn't you)

Brads
that's the theme for the new challenge at
and the sponsor this week is

Now I have tonnes of brads but hardly ever use them, hopefully this challenge has kick started me into using them more

As soon as I saw this image I knew I had to use it and exactly what I was going to make & who it would be for
I coloured using pro markers and glittered the wings with a very light silver sakura gelly roll pen
I used 2 small light blue enamel brads and 4 teeny weeny cream brads in the bottom corners. Mounted the tag onto white centura pearl paper and then onto cream card. I used a glittered white velvet ribbon to complete my tag

Creative Creations with The Stamping Chef

OOOOOOOOO it's getting near that spooky time of year again
Halloween
and that's the theme of the challenge this time at
and our fab sponsor is

and the prize if 3 the winners choice of 3 digi's from the store

Now I don't 'do' Halloween, my children are 20 & 17 so we no longer have parties or go 'trick or treating' so I decided to go with a Halloween colour theme

I used the beautiful 'Lost Fairy' image and coloured her with pro markers. I always think of purple, black, orange and green for Halloween and managed to use 3 of those 4 colours. Her wings I painted with Fast Violet glimmer glam after I had coloured them, they have a gorgeous silky sheen to them now. I added glossy accents to her eyes, gem and lips. The papers are all from my stash and the tiny butterflies my friend Kelly gave me, they were white so I coloured them with a permanent marker I have that leaves a shine, sorry I cant remember the name. The ribbon I brought from a facebook crafting group and I added 3 small black flat back gems.
I hope you like my Halloween-ish make & will join in with our challenge this time.

Fail To Bail

Hiya Bloggers
Ive scheduled this post (I hope blogger plays ball and posts this correctly) as I am on my holibobs with hubby
This weeks New Release at The Stamping Chef is called
FAIL TO BAIL
and she is another funky lady
If you grab her this weekend you can get a fab 20% off the price

Here is my take on her
Isn't she great, Tamara sure does know how to draw some cool chicks
I coloured her with pro markers and decided not to go OTT with backing papers so she was the main focus, so I only used 2 papers. The sentiment is a clear stamp i picked up in a small set for around £1.00 I think, and I inked it with 2 separate dew drop inks. I used off cuts of 3mm black satin ribbon and a silver skull charm to decorate the paper strip and 4 different co-ordinating brads on the larger piece of backing paper.
We would love to see all your projects using TSC images and you can find out about the upcoming challenges and all the news in TSC Recipes group on facebook

Beautiful Rory

Hello Bloggers
I am sharing a beautiful line drawing from
She is called

Rory Umbrella

and you can find her here

This is the first time I had coloured an image like this but love the effect so will definitely be trying again soon
I coloured her with pro markers & cut her out using the largest die from the 'xcut Ornate Frame' die set, which I edged with yellow chalk (it doesn't show very well sorry). The papers were fro my stash and I used 'Marianne Designs Creatables - Flower 2' to cut the flowers, which are 2 layers per flower, and card candi as the centres
The sentiment is a LOTV stamp & I added some dots of 'Ruby Red' Liquid Pearls

Kyra & Scott have some beautiful images over at Kith & Kin with lots more coming soon so keep a look out

BINGO!!!

Its TEAM B's challenge again at

and this time its
BINGO
If you have never taken part in a Bingo Challenge before the idea is simple. You just chose 3 things in a line or row and use those on your project.
For my project I chose the middle line: 3 papers, Gems & Lace, I also used a gorgeous image from our sponsor for this challenge
I chose to use 'Studying'
but without the sentiment
I coloured her with pro markers and used papers from my stash in matching shades of blue & brown. I had a small scrap of the lace with brown detail so pleated that across one piece of paper and added pale blue gems where the pleats fell. I used a knitted lace to make 3 flowers and added beige buttons to their centres. The sentiment I stamped using a set of small wooden alphabet stamps and a rich cocoa memento dew drop ink. I wanted it to appear wonky and freehand so once stamped I cut each word separately and stuck them under the edge of the digi. I am really pleased with the end result.
We would love to see all your brill entries to the challenge this week at JIC.

You're Bad

Hiya Blogland
I'm here with this weeks New Release from
and this little lady is a very
Bad Habit
I was reading one of my craft mags just before sitting down to make this card and there was a feature on making a double easel card, so I decided to give it a go.
I coloured her with pro markers and for once I am happy with my black colouring as I think I got the shading OK-ish. So once she was coloured I made my base easel card and used papers from my stash and a diamond design embossing folder to cover it. The I had to make a mini version of the easel card, add matching papers and stick into place on the base of the larger card.
I had to position 'Bad Habit' just right so she fit underneath the flap when the card was folded but still left enough gap for her to stand up without getting bent. The sentiment I made on the computer and added card candi to the corners to tie everything together.
I really enjoyed making a different type of card to what I usually do and might just try more new projects in the future.
If you like 'Bad Habit' you can get 20% off her for this weekend only at The Stamping Chef .
