Hello Bloggers
It's been a while since I blogged, been having a little break, but now I'm back and what better to come back with than
CHRISTMAS
I just love Christmas, and everything to go with it .............. except the pressie shopping days in town :( thank god for online shopping :)
Anyway back to business, Cheri has released the cutest collection of elves for the Christmas in July theme and you can find them here along with all her other fabulous digi images
One of my bestie best friends and also a Karleigh Sue DT lady, Theresa and me are lucky to live quite close to our fab Team Leader Rachel and we have been to hers for a couple of crafty play days. OK so more chocolate eating than crafting gets done but this time we actually managed to get things done. OK Theresa and Rachel did while I was punching out words and stamping butterflies but I got the instructions for what we were meant to be making and made it for my DT piece
We made a uber cute box with 6 tiny 4x4" cards & envelopes in featuring the sweet elves. They were meant to be Christmas cards but I have adapted mine into 'Thank You' cards and I'm making a set for all the little ones in my family, to go in with their Christmas pressies so they can use them afterwards. I just love the whole idea of the sweet boxes and can see the idea being adapted for birthday pressies for the adults in the family
I decided this first set would be for Aston, my little cousin who comes to craft with me. His favourite colour is now gold, it used to be orange, so I added touches of gold foil from Foil Play to toadstools and snowflakes and sprinkles etc just for a bit of bling suitable for a boy. The images I coloured in typical Christmas colours using my ProMarkers and I used kraft card along with papers from my stash including some Marianne Design and some C&C. The sentiments I stamped with a small wooden alphabet stamp set I brought from HobbyCraft for £1.00. I didn't add any embellishments to the cards other than the gold foil and some Stickles. The box was made from kraft card and I used a couple of brads and bakers twine for the fastening
Well that's about it from me other than to tell you where you can find the new 'Christmas in July' challenge, which is here and to say that I hope to see lots of your fabby Christmas makes entered into the challenge
Happy Crafting
