Challenge 5 at Lemon Shortbread

Hi Bloggers

It's time for a new challenge at

and this time I used the super sweet image

I coloured most of her with my ProMarkers as usual but I did her skin with Copics, trying to get back into them again. The papers are from my stash, the butterflies are made with an Xcut punch, lace from an amazing lady on FaceBook who sells the most gorgeous lace & ribbons. I finished the card off with a LOTV round sentiment stamp and some small gems

I can't wait to see all your fabulous creations in this times challenge, and don't forget to join the fun in our FaceBook group which you can find here

Christmas Pressie

Hi Bloggers

I'm sharing a project I made as a Guest Designer for
using a great digi from Faery Ink called

The theme was to make a gift for a friend, and its not a gift as such but I decorated a kraft bag for my crafty best friends Christmas pressies to go in
I coloured the image with my ProMarkers before fussy cutting her out. The papers were all from my stash and I hand sewed a border round them. I decided to attach some candy canes to the gift tag I stamped with a sentiment stamp so she would have a sweet treat too. I finished off with some Tattered Lace and Marianne die cuts

I hope you like my gift bag and that its inspired you on ideas of how to personalise your gift wrapping

Non-Traditional Christmas Colours with SLS Lines

Hi Bloggers

Not long to go now, have you all got you shopping done and presents wrapped? Nope me neither lol
But I do have all my Christmas cards made & written on, and a lot of them fell into the theme of this times challenge at SLS Lines

Christmas - Non Traditional

For this card I went with kraft, grey & blue for my colours and used the beautiful Snow Queen image, coloured with ProMarkers. The papers were from my stash and I highlighted some areas using a blue foil and quickie glue pen. I added some clear glitter pen to her lips, necklace and snowflake tattoo

Again I used kraft card and went with brown and mint papers on this card, and coloured the image with ProMarkers in yellows, browns & mint greens. After tearing the paper edges I distressed with Bundled Twigs distress ink and did some hand sewing along the straight edges and around the stars. I added a tiny bit of sparkle by using a clear glitter pen on the zombies red eye, well you gotta have sparkle at Christmas

I hope you can join our challenge this time and look forward to seeing all your fab creations

Christmas Sweetie

Hi Bloggers

So I expect a lot if not all of you are well on your way to being finished with all your Christmas makes and buys, well not me. Why is it kids get harder to buy for the older they get, and not only harder to buy for but more expensive.
I always struggle for stocking fillers for my son, he is 19, but I still like to try and get some bits and some Christmas treats of some kind. When I saw these chocolate lollipops I thought they would be OK as a stocking filler and then I decided to jazz them up a bit with one of the new release images from SLSLines

Isn't she just fabulous! She is called Sugar Plum Fairy and I just love her. I love the fact she's not your normal cute & sparkly Christmas fairy and is actually really life-like
I coloured her with my ProMarkers and added clear Wink of Stella to her wings. I stuck a piece of ribbon to a strip of card and made a sleeve to go round the chocolate lollipops, then I stuck the fairy on top. A really simple way to make some plain-ish treats into something a it more special
I hope you like my make and will join us in our challenge this time which you can find here

Another Guest DT Spot :)

Hi Bloggers
My wonderful FaceBook friend asked me if I would like to do another Guest DT spot for her, this time using a Rick StDennis image called
and the theme is Mixed Media

I decided to use my Smash! Book and do a layout using the fab image, which I coloured with my ProMarkers. I used 'love' related die cuts and some music note tissue paper, which then sparked the idea of doing some song titles that would match the image. I really enjoyed having fun with this image
You can find all the details of the challenge here and I hope you will all come and play along

Autumn Stroll

Hi Bloggers

It's time for the 2nd Lemon Shortbread Challenge, I can't believe how quickly it's come around. I used a sweet digi image called

and played with my Brusho's to make my background paper

I coloured the image with ProMarkers and fussy cut it. I layered my Brusho background onto some burgundy cardstock I had embossed with a Tonic A4 embossing folder, adding some fine twine in purple & burgundy between the layers. The flowers are stamps from Dreamees and I stamped onto printed paper from my stash. I added flat back pearls in matching colours before mounting my coloured image onto the card using thin foam pads

I hope you will join our challenge this time and also share you make in our FaceBook group

Autumn Inspiration

Hi Bloggers

I'm sharing my SLSLines Inspiration make with you today

I decided I wanted a challenge and chose to use 'Air Fairy with Long Flowing Hair' and coloured her with ProMarkers and added clear Wink of Stella Glitter pen to her necklace & the edges of the rolled roses. I used gems, pearls, Stickles & Liquid Pearls for the bubbles. The papers I used are from the fab 'Leaves & Florals Brown Kraft Style' paper pack and I also used them to make the rolled roses which have pale green gems in the centre

I hope you like my card as much as I liked colouring all that amazing hair :)

Day of The Dead

Hi Bloggers

Something a bit different from me today as it's my first inspiration post for SLSLines

I used the great 'Day of the Dead Calavera Girl' image, which you can find here, and coloured her with ProMarkers. I wanted her to be stunning so kept to grey tones and vivid red hair, lips & eyes. She is the main feature on a page in one of my Smash! books and I added a brief description, key words, a blinged out skull & tag pocket.
You will find lots of fabulous images like this in the SLSLines Etsy store here and find the challenges, new release news and more inspiration posts on the blog here

New Release from SLSLines

Hi Bloggers

Today I am sharing one of the great New Release images from

I was lucky enough to be able to play with the image

Day of the Dead Sugar Skull 3

I love the whole Sugar Skull trend and wanted to make something for me with this image, so I decided to use it on a page in my Doodle Smash! Book. I've not smashed for well over a year but I really enjoyed doing this page
I coloured the fab image in 3 different colourways so I could decide which one I wanted to use ............ and ended up using all 3 :)

I coloured them all with my ProMarkers and stuck them to torn pieces of papers from my offcuts draw. While I was colouring them I thought that a sugar skull would be the perfect thing to cover an old tattoo of mine and decided to have a go at drawing my own

I had so many ideas that I decided I should really do some research about them. I am going to have another go at designing my own to celebrate my nan, who we lost 14years ago, and as she loved nothing more than to be in the garden there will be no trouble having lots of flowers, leaves and curly tendrils on my skull
So back to my project. I wanted my page to be kinda interactive so quite simply attached my skulls with washi tape so the images flipped open to reveal my own attempt underneath

I hope you like my take on this fab new digi image, and don't forget to head over to the main blog where you will find all the other DT members great makes with all the New Release images

Tra La La

Hello Bloggers

It's time for a new challenge at All Dressed Up and I used the gorgeous cute

Isn't that just the cutest image :)
I coloured with ProMarkers and then coloured the robins scarves, cats scarf and hat, mouse's scarf and the bunnies ear muffs again and layered them on top of the flat image. The backing papers are from my stash and I went with a kraft card base again as it's very on trend wight now and I think it works well with pastel colours. I added a wooden snowflake, die cut snowflakes and some flat back gems to finish the card

I can't wait to see all your fab entries into our challenge and don't forget to share your makes in our FaceBook group here where we also have themed challenges
