You're Bad

Hiya Blogland
I'm here with this weeks New Release from
and this little lady is a very
Bad Habit
I was reading one of my craft mags just before sitting down to make this card and there was a feature on making a double easel card, so I decided to give it a go.
I coloured her with pro markers and for once I am happy with my black colouring as I think I got the shading OK-ish. So once she was coloured I made my base easel card and used papers from my stash and a diamond design embossing folder to cover it. The I had to make a mini version of the easel card, add matching papers and stick into place on the base of the larger card.
I had to position 'Bad Habit' just right so she fit underneath the flap when the card was folded but still left enough gap for her to stand up without getting bent. The sentiment I made on the computer and added card candi to the corners to tie everything together.
I really enjoyed making a different type of card to what I usually do and might just try more new projects in the future.
If you like 'Bad Habit' you can get 20% off her for this weekend only at The Stamping Chef .

Guess What ???

I am now on a fabulous new design team for

The latest release is called
'Tattered Lizzie'

Isn't she beautiful
I coloured her with pro markers and added glossy accents to her eyes.
The crumpled looking backing paper behind Lizzie is also from Kith & Kin and I layered it onto a piece of linen card I coloured to match her dress. The backing paper was from my stash, and the swirly leaves down the side were on the same sheet of paper, I cut them out and added glossy accents to the berries.
I used white webbing and coloured with a light & dark blue dew drop ink pads and added dots of green smooch glitz. I also added glitz to the edges of the flowers.

You will find more beautiful images as well as sentiments, papers and amazing line drawings at

Tic Toc, Tic Toc

Its New Release day at

again and this week she is a stunner
Tic Toc
OK so I know CAS doesn't generally go hand in hand with steam punk but I really like this card.
I coloured Tic Toc using my pro markers and added silver liquid pearls to her studs, lips and eyelashes. I decided to go for a kraft card blank and added small cogs and old watch parts to the top left corner. The sentiment stamp was one from a set I have, sorry I cant remember which and I added 2 watch hands around the sentiment. The card looked a bit too CAS at this point so I used black and brown staedtler thin markers to add free hand lines and dashes around the edges.
You can grab Tic Toc from today and for this weekend you get 20% off her.
Thanks for coming to visit my blog and pop on by to The Stamping Chef and get yourself some fantastic digi images.

Happy Anniversary Hubby

Happy Hello Blogland
Today is another Team B challenge at
Just Inspirational Challenges
and this time we are sponsored by the brilliant Tamara at
The Stamping Chef
who will give the winner their choice of 3 digi images
So onto this weeks picture
DIE CUTS
The theme this week is die cuts, so you MUST use die cuts somewhere on your project. You can use just one or as many as you like, any size, shape, colour but please say somewhere in your post what your die cuts are.
Here is what I came up with
As it was mine and hubby's 13th wedding anniversary on the 9th I decided to make hubby's card using the fab digi 'We're Tied Together'. I coloured it with pro markers, added glossy accents to the lace holes and Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to the rose. It was very important to me that the rose was yellow, my nan died on our 1st wedding anniversary and her favourite flower was a yellow rose. I actually have her favourite rose bush in my garden now and it had 13 flowers on it on our anniversary.
I used Tim Holtz Elegant Flourish die for the swirls and Cheery Lynn Heart to Heart Lace Doily die. I added small red & black flat back gems from my stash and dots of liquid pearls and stickles for a bit of bling.

Pop along to Just Inspirational Challenges to see the makes from my fantastic Team B ladies and enter the challenge, you could win 3 brilliant Stamping Chef digi's.

Announcing The Grand Duchess

Morning Blogland
It's Friday so that means New Release day at

and this week she is called
'Grand Duchess'
and she is fabulous

I decided to have another go with my watercolour pencils again and even if I do say so myself I think I am getting a bit better. I used liquid pearls for her buttons and pendant. The sentiment I printed off the computer as I thought it fit very nicely with the theme as The Duchess shouted steam punk to me straight away. I edged a white card blank with Tim Holtz distress inks, found the perfect piece of patterned paper in my stash, distressed the edge of this with inks too, as I did with the sentiment. Then I was stuck, what else could I add to the big gaping hole??? So I attacked my die cut drawer and found the perfect thing, the big Tim Holtz clock die cut. I graduated the colours using distress ink pads, added a large brad with a grey gem in the centre and then found a couple of bronze charms to hang from a piece of chain attached with a smaller brad. One charm is a heart and the circle on has the most brilliant quote 'Well behaved women rarely make history' What a brilliant, and true, thing to say.

You can pop along and buy 'Grand Duchess' with 20% off this weekend here
Have fun with her

***NEW CHALLENGE RULES AT JUST INSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGES***

Hello Bloggers
As you will know if you've been following my blog for a while I am Team B leader at Just Inspirational Challenges. Well the owner Kelly and I have been having a think about how to make the challenges more appealing and to entice more of you to enter etc etc and we decided that instead of having an inspirational photo for every challenge we would sometimes use one and other times use a photo of something that you must use in your creation, for example this weeks photo is of ribbons which means you must have ribbons on your make somewhere.
Ok so now our challenges are easier to fit in with others I expect to see a lot more of my blogging buddies entering ......... or else lol

So onto the first of our new type challenges and the photo & theme for this week is

RIBBONS
YOU MUST HAVE RIBBONS ON YOUR PROJECT

The fab sponsor this week is
and the winner will get to choose either 3 images or 1 set as their prize

I decided to use a brilliant freebie image available here for my project
Isn't she just brilliant!
I coloured Nell with pro markers and wanted to make her into a bright and fun card, so went with bright pink and very busy blue papers, yellow flowers with blue & yellow gem centres and detailed blue ribbon. The sentiment I printed on the computer.
I hope you like her and will join us in our new style challenge.
