Morning Blogland
It's Friday so that means New Release day at
and this week she is called
'Grand Duchess'
and she is fabulous
I decided to have another go with my watercolour pencils again and even if I do say so myself I think I am getting a bit better. I used liquid pearls for her buttons and pendant. The sentiment I printed off the computer as I thought it fit very nicely with the theme as The Duchess shouted steam punk to me straight away. I edged a white card blank with Tim Holtz distress inks, found the perfect piece of patterned paper in my stash, distressed the edge of this with inks too, as I did with the sentiment. Then I was stuck, what else could I add to the big gaping hole??? So I attacked my die cut drawer and found the perfect thing, the big Tim Holtz clock die cut. I graduated the colours using distress ink pads, added a large brad with a grey gem in the centre and then found a couple of bronze charms to hang from a piece of chain attached with a smaller brad. One charm is a heart and the circle on has the most brilliant quote 'Well behaved women rarely make history' What a brilliant, and true, thing to say.
You can pop along and buy 'Grand Duchess' with 20% off this weekend here
Have fun with her
Happy Crafting
