Crafty Ribbons

I have also done a tutorial showing you how i made the ribbon flower, see below

Whoopsi Daisy

Here is the tutorial for the ribbon flower

Step One - cut 4 pieces of ribbon, best to use a double sided ribbon, mine are just over 9cm long but you can use bigger if you wand a bigger flower.

Step Two - stick dst to one end of each piece of ribbon.

Step Three - connect the ribbon ends together securing with the dst.

Step Four - do the same with the remaining ribbon pieces, you should end up with 4 ribbon circles.

Step Five - using a needle and thread of a similar colour to the ribbon, sew straight through the join and the other side of the ribbon.

Step Six - sew back and forth through the ribbon a couple of times to secure, then tie off and snip the thread.

Step Seven - repeat for the other ribbon circles, so you end up with 4 pieces, sip off the spare thread.

Step Eight - sew up through the bottom of one of the ribbon pieces, then through another piece, placing this at an angle to create a cross shape.

Step Nine - add a third piece of ribbon and sew through this to add it to the stack, again at an angle.

Step Ten - add the final forth piece and sew onto the other 3. Go through all the pieces a couple of times to secure.

Step Eleven - choose a button to match the colour of you ribbon and sew through the holes, you can just thread the cotton used through the holes and use glue to attach to the ribbon flower, or you can sew it onto the ribbon flower.

Step Twelve - cut off all remaining thread and tease the 'petals' out so the are evenly spaced. Your ribbon flower is complete ready for you to add to your project.

Please feel free to use this tutorial to make your own ribbon flowers, but do not distribute or use on your own blogs/pages/etc You can direct people to my blog where they can use my instructions themselves.

Thank you, and i hope you all enjoy our 1st blog hop.

Its Chinese New Year At Stamping Dragon

Hello Bloggers
Today sees the start of a new challenge at
and the theme this week is
Chinese Year of the Dragon: must be a dragon on the project.
Here is my make for this week

I used the great digi stamp
Year of the Dragon - People born under the sign have a big heart

Coloured with pro markers and glittered the heart with pink glitter glue. I covered a square card with purple paper and used the same paper to cut the flowers and heart out with dies. Each layer of the flowers I slightly bent the petals in opposite directions to give more dimension and stamped the greeting onto the heart before sticking onto the pink flower paper on top of the card, then I edged the heart with the same glitter glue I used on the big heart. The dragon digi I mounted with foam pads so she stands out slightly and added little shiny heart beads to be the flower centres.

I hope you will come and join us in the challenge this week.

All Loved Up

Hello you lovely bloggers, I hope you are well today.

Its time for another new challenge at Just Inspirational Challenges and this week sees the 1st challenge with our new design team members taking part. We now have 2 design teams who take it in turn to provide you with their cards for inspiration, I am DT leader for Team A.

Well we have a fantastic prize up for grabs this week from our brill sponsor this week

and the prize for our winner is

WOW what goodies you could buy with that :0)

So here is our inspirational photo for this weeks challenge

lots of lovely flowers, or beautiful colours, you can take whatever inspiration from this picture that you want and make a project using that.
Here is what I made using a LOTV stamp that I love

The image is coloured with pro markers, and so is the ribbon as I didn't have any thick red ribbon and coloured some white and it matches perfectly. I used a shaving brush to 'swish' distress inks over the scalloped circle to make the sky effect, and mounted the image on foam pads so it stands out slightly. I added glossy accents to the little girls shoes and stickles to her collar and polka dots on her hair ribbon. The flowers are a variety of matching colours from my stash, with gems and candi as their centres. The sentiment is from LOTV too and I made my own ticket by cutting the shape and rounding the corners inwards, not bad I don't think. I finished off with a sprinkling of dew drops and gems to add a bit of bling.

I hope you like this and will join us in this challenge to win that great £10 voucher to spend at LOTV

Hot Stuff

Hello again bloggers
Its Friday so that means another new challenge at

and the wonderful sponsor this week is

We have an inspirational picture this week

and here is my make

I coloured the fab digi with pro markers and added stickles to the drops of water, and mounted him onto white card embossed with the swiss dots embossing folder. I then mounted this onto plain red card and used a white paper with different red/pink coloured big spots to cover my card.
The simple ticket sentiment is carried on with the greeting inside the card, and red dew drops complete this card.

I hope you will come along and join this challenge, and you could win a $5 voucher to spend at Dude Time Doodles.

Thank you and Happy Crafting
