The challenge at Less Is More this week is 'Pastel' http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2011/03/week-5-colour-pastel-colours.html . I was undecided what colour to chose until i found a sweet pink striped ribbon.
I started off with the lighter pink ribbon and then used a slightly darker thin one on top, it looks really dark in the photo, but its not in real life. I added a small pink gem to the centre of the little bow i made. I drew some swirly lines in green pencil and added 2 light pink paper flowers and a white card candy to make my flower, then stamped the greeting straight onto my card (i'm getting braver) in pink, sorry i doesnt show up too good here.
I am begining to like the Less Is More kind of cards more and more, but i do find they take a lot more thinking about than i expected.

Very pretty card so fresh looking
ReplyDeletepretty card
ReplyDeleteI love your ribbon & bow selections especially. Very striking against the other elements. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteHi Kate
ReplyDeleteThis is super
The good thing about CAS layouts is, you can do a repeat similar design very easily. With yours, replace the bow for the flower and drop the sentiment to the left just above the ribbon
Saves more thinking LOL
Thanks for entering again

Just lovely

It is rather difficult to see the sentiment. It's a good idea to try out your sentiment on a scrap of card as Mandi said last week, so that you can decide if it's suitable or not. You may have needed a slightly deeper shade.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty card though and I'm delighted that you are enjoying making them for our challenges!
See you next time.
