With Love

Hi Bloggers

It's time for me to share my latest DT make for Lemon Shortbread with you all, and to let you know that today is the start of Challenge #24

I used the super sweet

Heart of Roses

I used a sheet of paper from my stash along with an oddment of thin pink ribbon and lace scrap. The sentiment was from a set that was a freebie on a magazine and I added 2 pink flat back pearls
I hope you like the simplicity of my make this time and that you will come along and join us in the challenge this time

Beautiful Blue Lagoon

Hello Bloggers

It's the start of a new challenge at

and I can't believe I am actually sharing some MALE cards that Ive made, not that I'm sharing them but that I actually made more than the one I needed to make but because the papers were so fab and funky I thought they would work great for men's cards

I used the Blue Lagoon paper pack

For my first make I needed a card for my cousin who is going to be 12, so I wanted to make it bright but not too young for him. The stamp is a Papermania clear cling stamp, coloured with various Sakura pens. I cut different sizes of various designs from the Blue Lagoon paper set and matted them onto white card before layering them up onto a 6x6" white card blank

For my others I used white 5x5" card blanks. I did 2 in a similar way to the first card but I just edged the paper pieces with black ink instead of matting onto white card, the other one I cut a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment from some of the papers and black card and added them straight onto the card blank

I hope you will come along and join in our challenge, it's always
ANYTHING GOES
and you can win your choice of 3 fantastic paper packs

Why not take a peek at the Etsy shop PaperLozzy where you can buy the paper packs for only £1.20 each!!!

My 1st New DT Make & 1st Birthday Celebration

Hi Bloggers

I've been waiting for ages to write this post, it's my very first DT post for

I just LOVED making this as I got to play with lots of papers and stamps and do fussy cutting

I upcycled the plastic inner reel from a dst roll, wrapped it in pink ribbon, tied more ribbons in pinks & purples to the bottom and made a hanging loop at the top. I printed off several pink & purple sheets from the Paper Mixed Media collection, available here and here and stamped some Dreamees flower stamps using a black Memento ink pad in various sizes. Once I had cut them out I slightly curled them round an embossing tool, glued them together and added a co-ordinating colour pearl for the flower centre. Once the flowers were dry I used hot glue to fix them to the reel and ta-daaaaa a pretty wall hanging made from something I would have thrown away

If you are like me an have a slight paper obsession you really NEED to visit Lozzy's Etsy shop

where there are sooooooo many beautiful paper packs at just £1.20 each and each collection contain between 8 & 30 different sheets

BUT

Today it just happens to be not only my first DT post but the blogs 1st Birthday

So for our Celebration Challenge we are going to have 12 yes 12 winners. Just think all those chances to win your choice of some fabby digi paper packs. Head over to the main blog here and enter for a chance to win

My Birthday Blog Candy

MY BIRTHDAY BLOG CANDY

Hello Bloggers

As it's my birthday on July 31st I am running a little blog candy but with a difference
I have a page on FaceBook where I sell my cards & crafts to raise funds for my local Sue Ryder Hospice which is Thorpe Hall. My aunt spent her final days there in January this year, and my children's dad spent his last days there in 2002. The staff there are the best and always helpful, considerate and can't do enough for you. They treat their patients like people and not just numbers on a to-do list.
To be in the running for a chance to win my little candy I'm nor asking for you to follow my blog or share my candy (though you can if you wish) I would like it if you would like my FaceBook page and share it on your FaceBook or blog. I know 99.9% of you will make you own crafty items but the more people I can get to view & like the page the more money I will hopefully raise

https://www.facebook.com/LilliRoseThorpeHall/

Once you have liked and shared my page if you pop back here and comment on this post that you have done so I will add your name to the draw. I will get my hubby to pull a name out the hat (more than likely a cup though) on 14th August so I will take entries until 11.59pm on 13th August GMT

Now this might be a bit cheeky but if you would not only like another entry into my blog candy draw but also help raise funds for the hospice and be in a raffle for a chance to win a crochet Teddy Bears Picnic set that I made, then there is a post pinned on my LilliRose page where for £1 a number you can be in the draw to win. There are only 20 numbers left and for every number you buy you will not only get your name into the raffle but also into the blog candy draw. Click the link below to take you to the raffle post

Raffle For ThorpeHall

I will cover the cost of posting the blog candy and the raffle prize to anywhere in the world
The blog candy is a selection of handmade paper flowers, paper straws & 2 large gem set metal buckles plus I will add some ribbons too

Thank you

Feeling Fruity

Hi Bloggers

I'm sharing something fun & bright today, I suppose it's a bit summery ........ unlike the weather here at the moment, don't know what's happened to summer lol

I am a member of a FaceBook group where we do lots of swaps including Pocket Letters with different themes each time. The theme this time was 'FRUITY'
I knew straight away that I was going to use my Tilda with Cherry Basket stamp, and coloured her with ProMarkers (colours listed below). As Tilda was too big to fit inside a pocket I stuck her to the front on a pocket. I used Memento Dew Drop ink pads in various colours and Clearly Besotted Fruitilicious stamps for my ATC cards and did the borders by hand. I love the CAS style of this and finished it off with Bakers Twine in co-ordinating colours

I hope you like my make today

LOVE This Image

Hello again Bloggers

I so couldn't wait to colour this image when I chose it as my DT digi for this times Lemon Shortbread challenge

She is called Moss Fairy Skull and was a joy to work with. I decided to make a notecard to go with a swap I am sending to America, hope my partner likes it. The card is only 5" x 2.5" so I printed her pretty small but will defo be working on her in a larger size
I coloured her with ProMarkers, colours below, and used a dark grey card as the base card. The green doily is from a Dovecraft collection, the flower was white so I coloured in purple shades and that as well as the gems were from my stash

You can find her along with lots of other beautiful digi images, including gothic, fairy & cute, here

You can enter our challenge here with any image but if you use a Lemon Shortbread image you win more digi's

Pretty Poppys

Hi Bloggers

I wasn't really sure whether to say 'Good Morning' or 'Good Night' seeing as its 12.48am right now so I went with the simple Hi :-)

I wanted to share something I made a couple of days ago, something a bit different for me

Now I know that when we moved to the bungalow I was going to stop saving everything with the intention of using them for some sort of project but I just couldn't throw away the plastic rings from the inside of dst rolls, they would make great mini wreaths. So thats what I did

I just love poppy stamps, dies and images and the stamp I used for these flowers was in a freebie set, along with the dies, in a Crafters Companion magazine pack. I stamped them with a brown inkpad and coloured with ProMarkers in Cornflower, Denim & Pastel blues.
Firstly I covered the whole of the plastic ring with the blue gingham ribbon, leaving long tails and making a hanging loop at the top. Once the ring was covered I layered up the poppy petals, added the centres and used Glossy Accents on them for a bit of shine. I made the banner myself, coloured with the same blue markers, edged with the brown inkpad, and I used a small £1 alphabet stamp set from Hobbycraft. The sentiment isn't perfectly straight but I'm happy with it

I hope you like it, and I have more rings saved to make more wreaths
:-)

Twins Turn Three

Hi Bloggers

I'm sharing 2 cards today that I made recently for my cousins twin boys birthday. It doesn't seem possible they are 3 already & they are still as cute, and a lot more cheeky, as they were when they were teeny babies

I made both cards using Crafters Companion Scruffy Little Kitten stamps, coloured with Pro Markers and using papers & embellishments from my stash

I just love these stamps, they are so easy to colour and I'm actually quite pleased that I managed to make 2 boys cards that I like, my male cards are normally pants

Hope you like them
