It's Just Inspirational's 9th Week Already

Good morning bloggers, I hope you are all fine and dandy today.
I cant believe that the Just Inspirational Challenge blog is in its 9th week already, it doesn't seem that long ago that we were all waiting nervously for the 1st challenge to go live, but it is week 9 and the inspirational photo for you this week is

isn't that just a fab photo to use as inspiration, all those gorgeous bright colours.
Our brilliant sponsor for this weeks challenge is

and here is my make

I have used just the cutest little dragonfly digi from the limited runs digi shop and coloured him in with pro markers. The spots on his wings I first coloured all lovely bright colours and then added either stickles, liquid pearls or a sparkly paint I have. I cut round him and edged the cut out in a light grey pro marker and mounted him of foam pads. I chose a small shaped card I had in my stash as I just wanted a sweet card to give to my friend and her family to thank them all for our wonderful Christmas presents. The sentiment I made on the computer and mounted on a piece of white card I coloured with pro marker to match the colour of Mr dragonfly's wings and added a tiny blob of lilac liquid pearls to either end. Finally I edged the whole card with a yellow chalk ink pad to add a bit more colour.
Its quite a clean and simple design but with all the bright colours and different elements used on the dragonfly I didn't want to over complicate things by using a backing paper.

I hope you like my card and that you will join in the super challenge this week at Just Inspirational.

Christmas Card Box

Good evening bloggers, i hope you are all well. Everyone ready for the jolly bloke coming to bring our pressies ? i am just about, going to get the fresh veg and last minute bits on Friday morning after a trip to sirstampalot for their 12hr sale :0) and then going to see my cousins little boy have breakfast with Santa. He is 2 and a half and is really into it all this year, and its for him that i made this card come box. It started off as a card but because i had already made him a Christmas card i decided to make it into a box to contain a few Christmas chocolates for a little surprise, i think he will like it.

I started off by colouring the image with pro markers, added glitter glue to the Santa hat and ribbon on a couple of the presents, and silver gel pen to the baubles. This was then mounted onto blue linen effect paper, then onto gold card and finally onto a blue linen effect card. I added a red ribbon bow, little gold bell and blue gem to the top corner just to give it a bit of dimension.
then came the idea to turn it into a box, so i set about making the bottom of the box, and covered it inside with red and gold paper and outside with red paper covered in gold circles. the paper wasn't from a Christmas pack but i thought the colours went well with the colours i had used to colour the digi. I made the top of the box a teenie bit bigger so it would slip over the bottom box, decorated with the same circular paper and added a thick red canvas type ribbon round the box, covered the join at the front with a matching bow, bell and gem as is on the card. Then i stuck the card to the top of the box with some blu tak so it can be removed and a new one added next year in case Aston wants to keep the box and re-use it for his Santa treats every year.

I think that's probably going to be my last post before the big day as things start to get a bit busy here from now on in, so i will wish you all a very
MERRY CHRIMBO
and a
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy crafting my friends

YAY Its My 1st Blogoversary

Happy 1st Blogoversary To Me :0)

and to celebrate, and because I forgot to do it before now, I am going to give away my 1st blog candy.
Here it is

I decided my blog candy would be lots of little bits that whoever wins will hopefully find useful. There's blank cards,a5 card & paper sheets, 8x8 backing papers, die cuts, pearls & flowers, glitter, toppers, vellum & card squares, doilies, pins, ribbon and a stencil. Lots of useful goodies I think.
I am going to run my candy for a month ending on 20th January at 10pm, so that we can all get Christmas and new year out the way, have a play with the crafting goodies Santa (hopefully) brings us and then the winner will have another pressie coming their way at the end of January.
My candy is open to all the followers of my blog, but I don't want you to follow just because of the candy but because you want to. Please post a piccy of my candy on your own blog somewhere, the sidebar is fine and leave me a comment below.
Once the date to enter had passed I shall write all the names of you who have commented on a piece of paper and get my hubby to draw one from the hat, or more likely the fruit bowl, and that person will win all the above goodies. For every 25 people who comment I shall add a smaller prize of some decorated pins that I shall make myself and can be used to add to your cards or scrapbook pages etc.

So lets have a recap, what do you have to do:
Post a piccy of my candy on your blog
Leave me a comment on this post
For every 25 people who comment I shall add further prizes of decorated pins and shall draw more winners to get those.

I think that's all i need to tell you. If I don't blog again before then I wish you all a lovely Christmas and a wonderful new year.
Happy Crafting

SUPER-DE-DUPER WEEK 7 CHALLENGE

Good Morning Bloggers

WOW what a brilliant challenge we have for you this time at Just Inspirational. As its so close to Christmas we are making this a 2 week challenge so you can all take you time and maybe enter more than one card, and believe me when you see whats on offer you will want to enter as many times as you can.

So your inspirational photo this time is

I so cant wait for my Christmas dinner, yummy yummy.

OK so here goes, we have not 1 not 2 but 3 sponsors this week!!!!!
Imagine winning 3 lots of crafting goodies, what a brilliant prize.

This challenge we are very happy to be sponsored by

who is giving a winner £10 to spend in her store

who will give the winner some digi's from the store

and

who will give the winner 3 digi stamps.

OK here is my card, made using a super digi from Stampin Dragon

The digi is coloured with pro markers and the Christmas lights i used papermania metallic pens and gold and silver stickles glitter glue over the top. This was then matted onto plain red card stock. I used a piece of paper from my stash and as this was my sons Christmas card i wanted to keep it masculine colours and the brown and green tied in great with the inspirational photo. For the sentiment i used a little stamp set i got years ago for the £shop and stamped the letters using memento inks in brown, red and green, then cut each letter separate and layered them together in wonky lines, i think its a bit more teenager-ish than a normal, straight gold or silver greeting.

I hope you will all join in our fantastic challenge this time.

Thanks for looking and happy crafting

Chilly Christmas

Hello fellow bloggers, i hope you are all keeping warm and crafting happily. Are you all ready for Christmas yet? I'm not and i don't like being not ready lol
Ive only just got around to making my family Christmas cards and this is the one i made for my darling hubby Steve

I made the whole card, except the silver snowflake and pink gem, using goodies from a Craftwork Cards goodybag i managed to buy for £5 when they had a deal on a few weeks ago. The die cut images are simply adorable and i chose the penguin and bear holding a heart and mistletoe, coloured with pro markers and glittered with clear glitter glue and added snowy glitter to the falling snowflakes. I cut a matt of the green paper slightly bigger than the die cut image and stuck the image onto this, covered a card with the blue & sliver embossed paper. Stuck the image matt into the bottom corner of the card and added a die cut 'christmas kisses' sentiment, stuck onto a die cut tag, to the top corner. I wanted to add a little bling as it was for my hubby i didn't want to make it too girly so i added a plastic silver snowflake i found in my stash and used a pink gem to tie in with the pink heart the penguin is holding.
Hubby liked it, thankfully.

Thank you for looking and happy crafting

Week 6 at Just Inspirational Challenges

Hi Bloggers

OOOOOOOO its nearly Christmas, are you all excited? I am :0) apart from the fact that I've just discovered my camera is broken, not good at all.
Anyway lets get onto week 6 at Just Inspirational , the inspirational photo this week is
isn't that a scrummy looking gingerbread house, I love gingerbread things and my Christmas tree is decorated with lots and lots of different gingerbread people this year.
We are sponsored this week by

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is owned by Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.
and the winner will get 5 digi's from the lovely Robyn.
Here's my creation using one of the fab digi's from Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps

isn't that gingerbread baby girl soooooo sweet, I love her. I used colours from the sweets the decorate the gingerbread house and the baubles on the tree in the inspirational photo. The digi is coloured with promarkers and for the icing I used glitter glue and made it extra glittery with white puffy glitter. The backing paper was from my stash, ribbon from Lidl, a great buy at 3 rolls for 99p, and the sentiment I made myself. If you would like to use my sentiment on your makes this week, please feel free to grab it below but please if you use it mention where you got it from, thanks.

So what are you waiting for, get your crafty fingers working and enter our week 6 challenge to be in with a chance of winning some great digi's
