My 2nd Jellypark Post Pals Card

I am sharing the card i made with the 2nd Jellypark image for the Post Pals children. This one I sent to a lad called Charlie who, like me, is a gooner (Arsenal fan for those who don't know what it means), so I just had to go with red, white, blue & yellow colours.

These Jellypark images are just so gorgeous and versatile. I coloured mine with pro markers and the skin with copics, quite please as I'm just starting with them. I added white gel pen to the balloons to get the shiny bit & the spots on the scarf. Its quite a simple card but I used lots of layers to add colours. The sentiment is Jillibean Soup alphas and some alpha stamps I picked up years ago in a £shop, and I added some card candi to keep the embellies minimal.
I hope Charlie liked it.
If you would like to join the Jellypark Post Pals Group on Facebook just click here and ask to join.
If you don't know what Post Pals is, click here, its a wonderful way of sending sick children & their families a little smile and happy hello.
I am going to start on my 4th card tomorrow after I have spoilt my hubby with a Fathers Day BBQ.

So Lovely

Hi people
I am blogging today about a wonderful place I found on Facebook where you can make sick children smile and hopefully brighten their days a little.
Claire Keay, the amazing lady at
is doing an amazing thing and giving us special digi stamps to make cards with and send to children via
The idea is you promise to make a card or something suitable for the child you chose to send to, send your make to the c/o address and then you can get the next stamp sent to you to do the same again. Its such a special and brilliant thing to do and Claire draws the cutest digi's .
If you are interested in joining the group you can find it here

This is my make with the 1st stamp which I sent to a young lady called Sapphire

Isn't the digi just the cutest thing, and can be used for either boys or girls.
I coloured her with pro markers and added glossy accents to the patch on her hat and monkeys eyes. I added a button threaded with bright pink twine, to her hat and used Wink Of Stella glitter pen on her jumper. The paper are from my stash but i seem to think they were in a pack free on a recent magazine, the sentiment I printed out and then drew the lines with my thinnest pro marker black pen. 3 little buttons finished off my card.

I hope you will be inspired to join the group and help put a smile on a child's face.

Howdy Cowgirl

I am sharing another fabulous Kith & Kin digi image with you today and this one is

Cowgirl Karen

When us girls were all lucky enough to be chosen to be on her design team, Kyra offered to draw us our very own digi of us as any character we wanted, how awesome is that!
Karen decided she wanted to be a Cowgirl and WOW!!! Kyra did a brilliant job.
I coloured her with pro markers and added Glossy Accents to her eyes and belt buckle, and Sakura white glaze pen to her buttons. Then I cut her out using Sizzix Framlits Ticket die. The papers are from my stash as is the washi tape and pearls. The fronds are cut from kraft paper using Marianne Creatables Anja Leaves 3 die.
Over on Kith & Kin facebook page there is still time to enter the 'Spring' challenge and we are only 24 likes away from 3000! Kyra is going to offer a fantastic prize when the page gets to 3000, so head on over and like us please :)
I hope you like my CowGirl Karen and will head on over to the fb page and enter before the end of May.

Kith & Kin May Challenge - Spring

Hi Bloggers

I am soooooooo happy to be back doing my bit on the DT for Kith & Kin, I've missed making DT cards.
The challenge for May is
SPRING
so anything spring themed
colours, flowers etc whatever you like that fits the SPRING theme.

I used 'Ella Swinging' for my card and coloured her with pro markers, highlights and freckles with a white gel pen. The papers are from my stash, sorry I can't remember the makers, sentiment & candi (used for flower centers) are from Craftwork Cards. The ribbons, gems and butterfly are from my stash, I coloured the wooden butterfly with Cosmic Shimmer Dazzle Paint & Smooch Glitz Sparkle Accent Ink.

You can find the challenge here and all of Kyra's fantastic images here.
Can't wait to see your entries.

New Home, New Crafty Area

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm Back!

So lets start with our new home

We have moved into the perfect place, a lovely 2 bed bungalow with a cute little garden just perfect for the furbabies
As some of you might remember at our old house I had a whole double bedroom as my craft room and obviously now I've not got that luxury BUT I think I love my craft area even better than the big craft room.

Everything that I need is here or stored in the sideboard in the hallway, I am in the living room with Steve and not alone in a room on another floor, perfect.
A couple of days after my space was finally sorted & stored I had a rather important card to make, my cousins twins 1st birthday was fast approaching.
I decided I would go with a topper and not colour an image as it had been a while since I had coloured and I didn't want to mess things up before I had a chance to get back into things properly.

I wanted a really bright fun card for the boys and loved this bunny topper but I had a problem, the bow & ribbon on the present were pink, and it was too much pink with the ears and nose. So I went over the ribbon & bow with Stickles Starry Night and added glossy accents to the bunny's nose.
The green present paper has glitter bows on too so it's nice and bright and textured, the candi is in the colours of the sentiment which doesn't show up great in this photo, sorry.
I was really happy with the finished result and now can't wait to get back to regular paper crafting, and blogging my makes.
Off to have a cuppa before bed now,

I'm Back .......... well kinda

Hello Blogland
it's been a while :)
Let me start by explaining my absence ....

.... all of my crafty stash is packed away in boxes and crates waiting for us to move!!! That's not all, unfortunately I will no longer have a craft room, as we are downsizing from 4 bedrooms to 2. The good thing about that is I have got rid of all my jewellery, hair accessories, altered art etc stuff and kept stash to make my cards and smash books. We have been waiting since 27th January to be found a house so hopefully it wont be too much longer.
For a start I was OK as I was busy sorting things we would keep and things to get rid of in the house but once that was done and I didn't have my craft room to go play in, I go bored and needed something to keep me busy, so I dug out my crochet hook and made my cousin a blanket for her new baby, due next month.

My auntie gave me some oddments of wool she had left from her knitting, mum got me some assorted balls from her local charity shop, and a my good friend Vera gave me a huge bag of gorgeous wool. I had loads of wool in all different colours, what would I make next ???
Blankets for the furbabies

I think they like them

So now I have my crochet on and I'm loving it.
I have made 2 cushions for the new house, with 4 more to make, made my mum some flowers to sew on a bed cover she crochet, and right now I am working on a mothers day pressie but shhhhhhh no telling her & lots of squares to be made into a blanket for hubby (he is always cold).
I have also brought the wool to make us a throw for our bed in the new house. Ashleigh has moved into her first house with her fiance Andrew and she has asked me to make her some cushions and a throw, and Andrews mum has asked me to make her some cushions too. Looks like my hooks will be busy for a while.
I have also decided to have a go at ATC's. I have made myself a kit in an Artbin Satchel case I brought (bargain at £5.00), so I can carry it around and at least be able to get a little bit of paper crafting done until we get moved and I unpack & organise all my stash again. I will show you my ATC attempts as and when I have them done.

That's all for now
