Ovals

Good Morning Bloggers

Its time for the next Digi Choosday challenge and this time of year there's really only one thing it can be ........

Ovals/Think Easter

Now I don't normally make Easter cards but seeing as we have lots of little ones in the family now, and more due this year, I decided it would be nice to make them cards. This one is for the twins who will be 2 next month

Everything I used is from the Cherryblossom Lane CD Collection which you can buy as a CD or get the digi stamps & fab decoupage sheets seperate. I used the super sweet Wesley and because its for the twins I rotated one Wesley and layered them up together. I made myself some egg shaped templates and cut 2 eggs from the digi papers along with bunting flags and die cut letters. I layered everything up on a 6x6 white card blank and voila, a cute Easter card for Brodie & Brentley

Lots of Layers

Hi Bloggers

Its time for another challenge at Digi Choosday and the theme we have this week is

LOTS OF LAYERS

I am still trying to do other things than cards so decided this week to make a recipe folder for my daughter. She loves baking and has lots of recipe books but also lots of recipes on odd pieces of paper, so I thought a folder would be a good idea

I used the sweet Chef Girl digi from the Work & Play 7 Collection which is available as a CD or a Download here, and I used some papers from the Work & Play 6 Collection

I made the pages by cutting some 300gsm card to 7"x7" and sticking 2 pieces together for each page, then covered with plain papers in assorted colours. For each page I made a pocket from papers and a double sided recipe card by die cutting some lined sheets from a notebook and larger card pieces.
As well as using some Polka Doodles papers I used some sweet/candy themes papers and toppers that were a free gift with a magazine quite a while ago, and some flat back buttons shaped like cupcakes and cooking items.
I coloured the Chef Girl digi with Pro Markers and mounted her with foam pads onto the front cover of the folder along with a variety of different alpha's.
To finish the folder I used some 1.25" book rings and decorated them with assorted ribbon pieces, and a paper pieced cupcake covered with glossy accents.
I think my daughter will like this and she will be able to keep all her odd recipes all together in one place

Why not pop over to the main Digi Choosday blog where you can see all my teamies fab projects and get more inspiration for this challenge along with the rules and the prize offered

I'm Not Square

Good Morning Bloggers

Its Tuesday so that means its time for the next Digi Choosday challenge, and this time its

ANYTHING BUT A SQUARE CARD

I went with a 6"x4" oblong card and cut  the top off at an angle to make it a bit different. I used a pretty butterfly paper from the Winston Deluxe Full Collection along with some plain pale blue card and white card embossed with dots. I cut some of the butterflies from the paper and mounted them with foam pads onto the white card and dotted teeny clear gems around them. I decided to stamp the sentiment straight onto the paper so as not to cover any of the pretty pattern up

Head over to the main challenge blog here and check out the fab makes by the other DT

Lovely Lace

Hi Bloggers
Its time for another challenge at

Digi Choosday

and this time the theme is

 ADD SOME LACE

This week I decided to use a variety of Polka Doodles papers instead of an image as I knew what I wanted to make as soon as I saw this theme

I made a box and decorated it with paper, flat back pearls in the corners of the lid and a big double lace bow

I then made a selection of 5"x5" cards again using Polka Doodles papers and sentiment from various collections. I also use a variety of different lace, embossed card, paper flowers and flat back pearls
I have made this as a Mothers Day gift for my Mum, she said she didn't want anything but I know she will find having a box of cards to hand very useful

I hope you will pop along to the main Digi Choosday challenge blog and take a look at the wonderful projects my teamies have made

Spring Time

Hi Bloggers

With the nasty cold and wet weather we are having in Peterborough at the moment it was lovely to focus on the theme for the
this month, which is

SPRING TIME

I used the gorgeous

digi image and coloured it with Caran D'ache Neo Color II wax pastels. After I had made my first card I had a complete disaster spilling coffee all over that card, along with another, and my laptop :(
To cut a long, sad, story short, new laptop and 2 cards rescued. I managed to get my coloured image off the destroyed card and with a bit of clever flower placement hide any signs of the coffee disaster.
The flowers I made by colouring randomly with my pro makers on a thin piece of white paper and punched lots out using a small tonic punch, then shaped them slightly using an embossing tool before gluing them round my coloured image which I backed with a simple embossed design white card. I finished the card off with a simple blue organza bow

I hope you will pop over to our Facebook group and have a look at the challenge
